Chapter 659

The king of this planet finally woke up! But instead of leaving, Dio activated the battle armour on Galaxy and pulled out the Power Stone from the [Reaper’s Gaze] before laughing out loud. “Since you want this Power Stone so badly, you can have it!” Dio said as he threw the Power Stone into the chasm of the abyss that was formed as the planet-sized Macrophage woke up!

Thanos was horrified and surprised as he didn’t expect Dio to make such a stupid move! Surely, Dio planned to lure Thanos by throwing the Power Stone into the chasm where the Macrophage was! Thanos turned toward Dio as he considered his options for a second. He knew that he could use the Space Stone’s power to escape anytime, so he chose to fall for Dio’s bait for now!

A wormhole appeared, and Thanos immediately leaped into it, following the Power Stone to the abyss. At the same time, Dio smirked and patted Galaxy’s back as a wormhole appeared in front of him. Dio and Galaxy immediately rushed in, but instead of going down to the abyss to get back the Power Stone, Dio wanted to leave the planet quickly!

As soon as Dio disappeared from the planet, a huge and indescribable Macrophage tore down the planet’s surface while a deafening roar echoed throughout th planet! This Macrophage was as big as the planet itself, while the length of this worm couldn’t be measured! Even Surtur that was a giant, looked like a small child compared to this worm!

If one looked closely, there was a wound exuding a disgusting mucus on the worm’s body, and that wound was the cut that Dio made with his mighty scythe! It was an attack that tore the ground and reached for the deepest part of the planet, awakening the worm king that was curled up and sleeping on the planet core!

Dio already knew that Thanos wouldn’t let him leave so easily, so he intuitively changed course towards the Macrophages planet! In the end, his intuition bore fruit as Thanos really came after him! Now, it was his turn to give a surprise to Thanos! But Dio underestimated the worms by giving it the Power Stone!

A few thousand meters beneath the ground, the purple light was stuck on the worm king’s body! It began to incorporate itself into the worm’s body as if the worm was trying to control the Power Stone itself! This creature was really terrifying as it was blessed with power and ancient wisdom! No wonder that it was titled the worst disaster in the universe!

But then again, there was nothing wrong with Dio’s judgement! Dio might not realise the monster that he had created, but it was none of his concern for now. He returned to Dark Battleship and looked behind at the Macrophage planet, and the scene that he saw astonished Dio himself! He saw the worm king began to curl and suddenly encircle the planet as if trying to destroy it before leaping out of the planet itself!

The last time Dio was here, he was glad to know that the Macrophage King couldn’t escape the planet, but now it actually sprung out of its nest! Could it have survived the space all along? Didn’t it need protection to survive the harsh space environment? But suddenly, the worm turned around and devoured the planet it used to inhabit whole!

Dio now knew for sure that the macrophage king could survive the void and also had the ability to move around in the void of space! If someone asked him if he ever saw 5 planets devoured in one go, Dio would laugh and say that they read too many bedtime stories, but now! he couldn’t say it was just some drunkard’s gibberish as the Macrophage devoured any planet that came close to it!

Dio now regretted his decision to give the worm the Power Stone now! He didn’t know how to kill this worm to stop it from rampaging! He obviously threw the Power Stone to the chasm where the Macrophage was to make sure Thanos wouldn’t get his hand on it, but now Dio actually unleashed a far more brutal monster to the universe!

Would this Macrophage worm devour the universe faster than Thanos destroyed it? But now Dio realized that Thanos’ decision to erase half of the universe wasn’t so bad compared to this worm as it seemed that eating 5 planets wasn’t enough to stop the worm as it squirmed and glided towards another planet!

The Macrophage finished eating the planet around and then began to head toward a certain direction of the universe. Dio noticed that the worms seemed to be looking for something specific.

If one didn’t see it with their own eyes, they wouldn’t believe how long this worm really was! It stretched out for many planets that it looked like a galaxy on itself! It was really unbelievable!

It wasn’t until the Macrophage disappeared from sight that Mappedoff and the rest of the Dark Elves could finally breathe in relief. They were frozen in fear while the Macrophage hovered around the Dark Battleship earlier, even though they knew that the creature wouldn’t be able to find the ship due to its stealth technology!

Still, the horror of the Macrophage couldn’t be relieved just knowing that! Only after it was gone from sight that everyone on board could breathe in relief! As for Thanos, he might be already dead or have escaped in time. Dio didn’t really know, but Dio was very pessimistic that Thanos could take the Power Stone from the Macrophage anytime soon!

“Did I really make the right decision? Well, there is no use in dwelling on the past decision. Let’s just hope it wouldn’t be too bad!” Dio said as he sighed and looked forward once again. If he had known that the Macrophage could leave its planet, Dio wouldn’t have given it the Power Stone, and chose to fight Thanos until the end instead!

Dio immediately copied the video taken by the ship earlier about the Macrophage and quickly uploaded it to the Interstellar Network of the Bounty Hunter Union, Star Mercenary Union, and other intergalactic organisations. Dio hoped that they could work together and deal with the Macrophage threat on their own!

Even if they couldn’t kill that big worm, at least they should have time to evacuate.

Now, Dio didn’t have to think about the big worm any longer, and so, he summoned the [World] and immediately got on with resurrecting Carol! He hoped that he had enough Soul to do just that!
