Sovereign of the Firmaments

Chapter 37 - Mission Completed

The auction came to an end after the young dwarf was bought by Lucas and all the onlookers started leaving the auction house.

'Knock knock'

Suddenly, Lucas and others heard the knocking sound as they heard, "Sir Lucas, it's me, Shawn."

"You bought the items?"

Lucas opened the door and saw a small box filled with light red-coloured crystals and the ugly looking beast skin was in his hands.

"Yes. One of the managers will come here regarding your last item. As for these two, you can just settle the payment with me."

While saying that, Shawn gave the two items that Lucas won in the bidding to him.

"Hm"

With a nod, Lucas took the items and signalled Bernard to settle the payment.

"A box of strength crystals is 510 gold coins and the rough map of the dungeon is 100 gold coins. So, a total of 610 gold coins."

Bernard said as he gave exactly 610 gold coins to Shawn.

"I will take my leave, Sir Lucas."

Once he received the payment, Shawn left the chamber while Lucas and others waited for one of the managers from the adventurer's guild.

"Manager Rean?"

Soon, Lucas saw Manager Rean enter their small chamber.

"Sir Lucas, I am here to settle your payments for selling the Beast core and buying the young dwarf."

With a respectful look on his face, Manager Rean explained the reason for his visit.

As a manager of the adventurer's guild, he should always remain polite and respectful to his customers. Even if there was someone else in Lucas' place, he would still maintain the same respectful look on his face.

"Sure. Go ahead."

Lucas nodded his head and asked the manager to continue.

"The beast core is sold for 3000 gold coins and since it was the customer's first time giving an item to our guild's auction, the 10 percent service fee will be exempted."

"Also, the customer has bought a young dwarf for 10100 gold coins. After deduction, the customer has to pay 7100 gold coins."

Manager Rean calculated as he explained everything while Lucas and others heard him speak.

"Since the alchemy guild decided to lend you 7000 gold coins without any interest for three days, all you need to pay is 100 gold coins and sign here agreeing that you will return the money in three days."

Soon, Manager Rean finished his words as he took out a fresh beast skin filled with terms and conditions regarding his borrowing.

"Sure. Let me read it."

Even though he trusted Manager Rean a little bit, he still read it before signing on it.

"Your last item will be sent to your manor in absolute secrecy. Sir Lucas. As long as you don't want to know that you are the lucky family in this chamber, it is better to hide the young dwarf. Also, while leaving, take the back door which takes you to the adventurer guild's main building. You can leave from there and no one will doubt that you are this year's lucky family."

Manager Rean suggested that before leaving the chamber after taking the 100 gold coins from Bernard.

This time, he gave the suggestion because of Lucas' gift for his son.

Unlike the other guilds, Manager Rean didn't think Lucas was a fool because Lucas was still young and had a powerful servant. As long as he diligently poured some resources for the young dwarf for a decade or so, he would have a loyal young dwarf.

All he needed to do was invest and wait.

However, what he didn't know was Lucas's system could awaken the weapon refining talent for the young dwarf the moment he got his hands on the young dwarf.

"Let's go."

They followed Manager Rean's advice and went through the adventurer's guild making no one suspect.

If others found out the Hellmore family had the young dwarf, then it would be troublesome for Lucas and he is not strong enough to openly fight everyone in the Silverstone town. So, all he could do right now is hide and build his family.

Back at the Raindrop manor.

Lucas and others reached the house without any mishap and since it was already late, everyone went back to their rooms to rest.

As for Porter and other young squires, they were on the patrol duty shifts around the manor.

In the secret training room.

'There is something in this room that makes my head clear of all thoughts.'

Lucas liked the feeling of staying in the secret training room. So, he spent most of his time in that room instead of his actual room.

"Time to check what's so special about the ugly beast skin."

In the next second, Lucas took out the rough map and checked it before asking, "System, just let me know why you asked me to buy it."

Since the guild leader of the Mages guild who was a higher mage was unable to sense anything from it. So, Lucas didn't waste much of his time; instead, he directly asked the system.

'Ding,

Analyzing the anomaly in the beast skin. Please wait a few minutes.

A holographic box appeared in front of him and covered the ugly beast skin in Lucas' hands.

"Okay."

Lucas shrugged his hands and took out the box filled with strength crystals.

"With these 10 strength crystals, I can make the 10 young squires into high-level squires. But the problem is I need to wait until they learn weapon mastery and become mid-level squires."

Lucas didn't have any plans to use the strength crystals on himself because he already found a way to increase his master to complete the success stage. So, using the strength crystals for himself is just a waste of resources.

"As long as they become high-level squires, I can form a small adventurer's unit for the Hellmore family and with Porter's leadership, we will have a steady source of income."

Lucas revealed a smile when he thought about it and kept the box back into the inventory.

'Knock knock'

While Lucas was waiting for the system to finish its analysis, he heard a knocking sound on his main room's door.

So, he had to come out of the secret training room and went to check who it was.

"Master, among the grocery boxes, there is a cage with a young dwarf in it."

It was none other than the butler of the Hellmore family, Herbert.

"That's fast."

Lucas didn't expect the adventurer guild to be so fast and he asked, "Take me to that cage."

"Yes, master."

Herbert guided Lucas to the basement that was filled with groceries and a few bottles of wine.

However, Lucas' eyes were completely on the young dwarf in the cage who was looking at the new surroundings with fear.

'Ding,

Mission "Buy the young dwarf" completed.
