Secret Killer

RING RING!

This time, the old detective's phone rang. After seeing the name of the caller, the senior detective's face turned pale, and he looked at Mr.L.

"You were ignoring the calls from the head chief?" he asked with a horrified expression on his face.

Mr.L simply shrugged his shoulders in response.

The old detective answered the call and started talking.

"Yes. Yes. He is right here. Maybe his phone was silent. I don't know. Alright. Yes. I understand." The old detective hung up the call. He opened something and showed his phone to Mr.L.

"Holy moly…" Mr.L muttered.

Leon smirked and let out a short scoff. But he placed his hand on his mouth after he noticed Mr.L was glancing at him.

Mr.L turned the phone to Leon and Anna and showed them the clip of the guard beating his wife and son.

"This is the guard who mentioned your name. Have you seen him before?" Mr.L asked Leon with a curious yet calm look on his face.

Leon shook his head and replied, "No. I don't even know how he knows my name."

"He must have seen it on your ID card," the old detective quipped.

Of course, Leon knew that, but he was playing dumb.

"But why is he beating them? And who are they?" Leon asked with an oblivious look on his face, as though he had never seen them before.

"We don't know that either, but I guess we now need to drop by at his house," Mr.L replied.

"Wait, so you were accusing me of murder because this person said so?" Leon uttered. "I think you need to work on your sources first."

"You are right." Mr.L nodded and asserted, "You two can go."

Leon and Anna left the room. Anna went to the right, and Leon went to the left. However, Leon hid behind the wall as soon as he turned right.

'Who are you, Anna?' Leon wasn't going to let go of Anna that easily. After hearing Anna's testimony, he was sure that Anna had seen him, but why did she lie? And why did she try to save him?

Leon didn't care about that. If she knew the truth, then Leon had no other choice but to kill her.

After Anna left, Leon quietly followed her. However, she kept walking to the places where there weren't many spots to hide. It was getting hard for Leon to stay hidden.

Moreover, the places she went to were crowded, so Leon couldn't do anything to her unless he was walking close to her.

"Whatever happens, I am not letting her go. This is my chance to kill her. So I better kill her before I lose sight of her." Leon stole a mask from a store and wore it. He had his mask in his bag, but he didn't want to risk wearing it because it was dyed with blood.

After killing the guard yesterday, Leon killed some more people on his way, and he forgot to wash his mask.

He followed Anna for a while and lost his temper. He took out a keychain knife from his pocket and dashed to Anna. As the streets were crowded, Leon took advantage of it. He stopped and stood behind Anna and placed the knife on her waist.

"If you don't want to die, then do as I say," he said in a sinister voice.

He was using a keychain knife as a weapon, and he knew that it was not enough to kill anyone. But Leon was Leon, and there was nothing he couldn't do when he used his superpowers.

Anna quietly nodded and slowly glanced back to look at Leon's face, but Leon stopped her and said, "Start walking. And don't you dare yell. If you yell, then you will never be able to yell again."

Anna started walking, and Leon walked along with her with the knife in his hand. After walking for ten minutes, the streets were getting narrow, and the crowd was decreasing.

They were on their way to the station.

"Get on the train and take a seat. If you try to do something funny, then I will kill you," Leon threatened.

"But if you kill me in the train, then everyone will know, and the police will catch you," Anna remarked.

"Does it look like I care about that? Even if they catch me, you will be dead. So if you value your life, just do as I say," Leon retorted.

"What are you planning to do to me?" Anna asked.

"You will know soon."

"Are you going to r*pe me? It will be my first time, so I will appreciate it if you do it gently," she asserted.

Anna knew very well that the masked man was none other than Leon, and it was all her plan to get captured by him.

"I am not interested in that," Leon replied.

"Then…" Anna's face flushed slightly as she asked, "Are you going to kill me?"

"...." Leon didn't answer and made sure no one was looking at them.

Lucky for him, the train compartment they were in was empty.

If Leon truly wanted to kill her, then he would have killed her in the crowd where no one would be able to spot the killer. Or, he would have taken her to a secluded place and killed her. Leon indeed wanted to kill Anna, but he wanted to know the reason why she lied and tried to save him.

He was curious why someone would cover up for him. However, it wasn't as though Leon needed any help in the first place. That's why, he was taking her to his apartment, where he was planning to torture her before killing her.

They got off the train, and Leon took her to his apartment.
