In the tiny tunnel, two Vampires traversed through dirty waters while the sound of water swerved left and right.
Barricades and a wall indicated a dead-end at the end of the tunnel, but there was a moderately sized crimson transportation mirror ahead.
With the giant barrier floating beside them, the butler and the maid walked over to the transportation mirror without saying a word.
Inside the barrier, Xavier continued to pretend to be asleep. Along with the tears that had flowed down his cheeks, his sadness had dried, leaving him with nothing but anger.
Due to the fact that he had found only his mother and sister in the camp, he knew there was little to no chance he was alove and that he was now responsible for their safety. In order to reach them, he could not simply break out of the barrier and go through the main palace.
In the Vampire Camp, Xavier felt some stronger presences arrive, and he wasn’t in the mood to deal with them. Especially when there was clearly a different gate right before his eyes.

Xavier’s thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the sudden appearance of a screen. Despite having his eyes closed, he was still able to see it.

Xavier wanted to click his tongue, but resisted.

The butler cut his hand and smeared blood on the mirror before activating it. Then he glanced over at Xavier, who had his eyes shut with an innocent sleeping expression.

Without saying anything, they crossed the gate.

Upon crossing the gate, the first thing Xavier noticed was the horrible scent permeating through the air.
He narrowly opened his eyes before looking around only to get frustrated at the result.
They were inside a sewer, there was dirty water sloshing around in a stream that led down to darkness. Standing on a platform beside the stream, they began walking down it without saying anything.
‘Another tunnel… At least they look like they know what they’re doing…’
After patiently waiting and listening to their footsteps, Xavier’s thoughts turned to his mother and sister, whether or not they had woken up.
But that wasn’t all.
His mind also flashed to Sangrea’s smiling expression, which surprised him even more.
‘…I guess I only got this far thanks to her… Even if her butler and maid tried kidnapping me.’
‘I can’t tell if being involved with her is more trouble to my plate or more positives…’
‘Oh well, there’s no use thinking about it… It’s the apocalypse after all. Might as well check out my stats.’

While Xavier’s body was being transported through the barrier, his eyes scanned through his statuses.
‘St-Stamina is 11? God, I need to find a way to work that out…’ He thought to himself.
Drinking Vampire’s blood didn’t give him any Stamina, unlike his other stats. He had only received one stamina point from drinking human blood.
‘Meaning once I’m back together with Sangrea and the others, I’ll have to start drinking more human blood… Should I raid a blood bank?’ He wondered.
Further down, he found the [Equipment] section, something he hadn’t seen previously.

As Xavier moved around to find a more comfortable position, a faint glow appeared from his uniform’s pocket and a notification appeared on his screen.

In a frown, Xavier brought his brows together.
‘I’ll save it for when I need it. I can escape whenever.’
Xavier’s words were not a joke. To avoid being consumed by berserk, he surpressed himself and held himself back.
It was nothing like when he was a ghoul and he was going on a rampage.
In terms of strength, Xavier’s [Ghoulified form] was on par with his [Fully fledged Vampire] form. But his current state was weaker than both, even with his recent [Berserk.]
Berserk worked by getting stronger the hungrier he was, however while he was hungry, Xavier was nowhere near as hungry as he was when he became a ghoul.
Nevertheless, they showed clear intentions of not trying to kill him so there was no point in going all out against them, so he was simply resting and regaining his strength.
He didn’t trust that they’d take him straight to Sangrea, but he didn’t care. He could find her whenever or force it out of them if push came to shove.
“Xavier… Do you know how long the Vampires have existed for?” The butler suddenly spoke up, breaking the deathly silence.
Xavier didn’t respond, he kept his eyes closed.
‘Did i hear that right? Does he actually know that i’m awake or is it just a bluff?’ He wondered
“You can stop the act now, we know you’re awake. You’re curious aren’t you? About Vampires and the Redbloods. The war is only just beginning after all.” Muttered the butler with a grin.

A group of young men and women entered a vast training room, where a man sat silently on his own, meditating and practicing controlling his ability flow.
There were many badges on his uniform, and he had a grumpy expression on his face.
“What is it?” He asked.
“S-S-Sir… Is it true that we will be deployed into the battlefield soon?” Asked one of the young men in fear.
Slowly, the grown seated man stood up, towering over the group.

Short red hair trimmed short with brown eyes that are strong and determined. He had such a shredded physique that it felt as if he had no fat at all, and he wore a big sword around his waist that seemed impossible to carry. It was like a giant lump of metal.
“Yeah… That’s right… We’ll be getting deployed soon…” He muttered in a deep voice before turning to the target behind him and drawing his sword.
“B-But weren’t focusing mainly on rescuing as many people as possible for now?”
The man glanced at the person who’d asked the question with a cold look.
“Orders from above… I believe the patrol units have made it clear that the Vampires are completely taking over… If we want to preserve as many lives as possible… Then it’s obvious what we have ot do…”
*SWOOSH!*
He swung his sword and strong gusts of wind blew by the room. The wind pressure seemed almost impossible for a human to produce.
But just as the Vampires were evolving, so were the humans.
“We’ll kill them.” He muttered before glancing at the target before him.
It was sliced cleanly in half.
