‘What a waste… Gluttony didn’t level up this time and I didn’t get any abilities from it either.’ Xavier cursed.
As they watched Xavier devour the noble’s blood, the Vampire twins cried out inwardly. In an effort to appear to not have noticed, Sangrea walked away from them in the direction of Xavier, who had started walking back through the platform.

He let out a sigh and closed the shop.
‘Looks like I still can’t afford it.’ He thought to himself.
He glanced at the groups of people upon reaching the platform and leaping up onto it.
“Alright, you’re all free to go. Leave and do as you please.” Said Xavier as he stood before the group of hostages standing on the platform.
They hadn’t moved nearly as much as they had in his previous rewind. For this time he didn’t suffocate and make them assume he was dead.
Because they were afraid Xavier could turn against them, their eyes lit up when Xavier told them this.
“This isn’t a fake test right…?”
“He isn’t going to kill us if we suddenly get up is he?”
“You all saw what he did, if he wanted us dead, we’d be dead by now.”
They all stood up one by one, looking away from Xavier’s eyes as they were afraid to make eye contact, but they appeared grateful nonetheless.
They then proceeded to look up at the tunnel roofs where the ghouls were, they were fortunately still asleep but their eyes were partially open.
Looking further down they could find the twins chained up, trying desperately to break free from the shadowy binds.
“So we can just leave?”
Xavier nodded.
“I recommend you all leave soon, the other two vampire twins might attack you all in rage when they’re freed from the chains. The chains will buy you a few hours at most.” Said Sangrea.
Along with Sangrea, he walked past the crowd up the platform escalators. They were changing to the Victoria line which was on another platform at their station.
Before they could go up the escalators however, they were stopped by the short brown haired girl with a small hat and bag as she ran through the crowd and grabbed Xavier’s arm.
Her entire body was shaking in fear, she even struggled to get the words out, but somehow she managed to force them out.
“F-Fank you… For saving us…” She muttered, biting her tongue once more.
As she whimpered in pain, Xavier gave her a slight smile and patted her on the head, she reminded him of his sister.
“What’s your name?”
“Bella…” She whispered with a blush upon seeing his smile.
“Make sure you listen to what your father and mother tell you to do from now on, alright?”
The girl gave Xavier a slight nod.
“That’s good, stay safe.”
Those were Xavier’s only words before turning and walking away up the escalators.
“…”
The girl watched with tears in her eyes as Xavier and Sangrea disappeared into the distance after going up the escalators.
They were greeted by a red brown haired girl dressed in a school uniform shortly after reaching the top of the escalators.
“I came up here like you said, what do you want from me?”
“Give me your blood.” He responded.
Confusion swept away at both Sangrea’s and the girl’s face.
“W-What happens If I don’t…? You’ll kill me?” She asked.
Sangrea gazed at Xavier quietly with hurt eyes, Xavier ignored it and walked up to the red brown-haired girl.

“No, I won’t kill you. But I’ll need some form of payment for freeing everyone.”
“You could have asked them for blood…”
Xavier didn’t want to scare them anymore than he had already; it was the least he owed them after killing them before rewinding. In addition, he believed this girl’s blood would be the most useful since she had the strongest ability among them.
“Are you going to give me blood or not?” Said Xavier as he appeared right in front of her after a single step.
*Badum* *Badum* *Badum*
Xavier could hear her heart pounding out of her chest. The driving emotion was clearly fear.
“Sure, why not.” She responded nervously.
Sangrea’s eyes widened at the response.
‘Eh? Wait, he’s not actually going to drink her-‘
Sangrea’s thoughts were interrupted as Xavier by Xavier who suddenly leaned into her neck before biting down.
*Gulp* *Gulp*
Sangrea’s jaws trembled as she witnessed the girl let out a quiet moan as Xavier sucked the blood out of her. Her face was almost bright red from blushing whilst Xavier sucked out the minimum amount necessary from her.

As the blood streamed into his mouth and through his throat, Xavier felt an unexpected rush. It was almost like the one he had gotten from drinking Sangrea’s blood. It was that good.
Having more control over his addiction to the blood however, after drinking just the bare minimum, Xavier managed to stop himself.
Parting his lip from the girl’s neck, he watched as not an ounce of blood streamed out Afterwords. A mysterious ability which came with the bite of a Vampire.

“Is that enough…?” The girl asked whilst panting before have a seat whilst leaning against the wall.
“Yeah, it’s enough.” Said Xavier as he watched the screen which appeared before him with intrigued eyes.

‘So I’ll stop being a hybrid?’ Xavier wondered.

‘Hm… It’s a good thing I gained this option… If worse comes to worst, I’ll be able to go the Vampire route like I did with the ghoul and then rewind.’
‘I’ll still be able to use rewind even if I’m no longer a Chronos, right?’ Xavier questioned the system.
[Affirmative, however progression of the skill is futile.]

Xavier’s stats were perfect, he’d unlocked the Hyper regeneration skill once more in this run, and the number of coins he had were also more than before, despite not being enough to buy anything from the [Shop.]
This was sort of expected after consuming the blood of a Vampire Noble and four others.
His next objective was buying a [Level-up Orb] From the shop, the price had really put him off initially when he’d first seen it.
“Sangrea, let’s-”
Xavier’s eyes widened after turning to Sangrea.
Her bottom lip had protruded out of her mouth, and her brows were stuck together in a frown as she looked away from Xavier. She was sulking.
“Sangrea?” He called out.
She glanced over at him before puffing her cheeks and glancing away.
“What is it?”
“You’re pouting just now.”
“I’m not pouting… Let’s go.” She muttered whilst walking away.
“…”
Xavier looked over to the red brown-haired girl and gave her a slight nod as thanks.
“I’d have gone with you two, but a Vampire Camp seems too much for me.” She whispered.
Thanks to Xavier’s great hearing he had caught her words clearly.
“That’s for the best… Stay safe.”
That was the only thing that came to his mind. Xavier really didn’t have the time to be worried about others, especially not when he could rewind each time. There was no telling when he’d go through all of this again.
He didn’t want to become close to anyone else, not until he found his family. Otherwise, he probably wouldn’t be able to bear having all those connections lost from him taking a different path each time.
As Xavier and Sangrea’s sulking figure disappeared into the distance, the red brown haired girl let out a sigh.
“What sort of Vampire asks someone if they can drink their blood?”
“What a weird guy…” She muttered with a blushing smile.
She slowly moved her hand over to the part of her neck where she was bitten before rubbing it.
“I expected it to hurt a little more… Somehow it felt… Rather nice…”

The sound of quiet footsteps echoed across the shadows of the tunnel. They were travelling through the [Victoria Line.] towards [Walthamstow Central.]
Xavier’s figure walked alongside Sangrea’s down the tunnel. Sangrea was unexpectedly quiet and still sulking.
After seeing what she was capable and realising that there was quite the mystery to her he knew wasting their relationship would be a missed opportunity.
Xavier began slowly increased his walking speed before catching up to her and grabbing her hand.
“Are you mad that I drank her blood?” Xavier asked.
“I don’t know…” She responded with a dejected look. “I don’t mind you drinking the blood of others, it’s just when I saw the way you grabbed her… I got a little jealous.”
Hearing her words, Xavier suddenly cut her off and gentle shoved her against the wall before placing his hand on the wall beside her.
Sangrea’s heart skipped a beat as her eyes met his piercing gaze.
Xavier slowly moved his other hand over to her chin and slightly raised it upwards. Slowly he leaned in for a kiss, only to go past it and over to her ears before whispering.
“Your blood was tastier.”
Sangrea’s face became a bright radiant red, her mind began to spin around as she suddenly raised her hand and placed it on his chest.
“We’re here.” Said Xavier as his hand sunk into the wall.
*Glow*
Strange runic patterns appeared on the wall behind her before it eventually opened up.
Without saying anything else, Xavier moved away from the blushing, shocked Sangrea before walking inside.
‘Ah-H-He… Wh-What?’
Whilst she was still shocked by what had hit her, Xavier slowly descended down the staircase.
With every step he took downwards, his expression grew increasingly serious.
“We’ve finally reached it… A vampire camp.”
