Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 320 - Conflict

When the group of 11 left the train station, everyone was astonished by the grand contrast the city they had just left had to the city they had entered.

While almost everything was still empowered by mana, there were houses and other smaller constructions which was something that didn't exist in the previous city.

'That's the difference between having a Dimension portal in one's city and not having one, huh?'

Even if many races on the neutral planet had not awoken the system, their majority did.

Using the system properly, one could earn millions of gold coins in a short amount of time, and Shane was aware of this more than anyone else.

As such, having a dimension portal nearby was important. And, the contrast between both cities was striking!

Nevertheless, this was less important for their current task and more to quench Shane's thirst for more knowledge and satiate his curiosity.

There was one particular building they were heading to. It was a gigantic hall that was larger than most other buildings in the vicinity and thus was the easiest to spot..

"The basic races have rented the entire hall for the next three months. Even if the basic race gathering might not take that long, we will have to create a proper plan to counter the Miac alliance. Otherwise, it will be difficult to stay inside the radiant mountain ring dimensions.

As for possible conflicts, just face everything head-on and don't display any signs of weakness or give others any reason to believe that our race is a pushover, alright?"

Commander Nuyra was confident that the prodigies would be able to handle everything, and even if Shane didn't look extremely powerful, he believed Miriam's words and the final result of the trials!

Just at that moment, Shane asked the question everyone had already thought about, yet, nobody had dared to ask it until now.

"Isn't it too much of a hassle to join the basic race gathering, and create a plan to counter the unforeseen future attacks of the Miac alliance? Why didn't the government decide to abandon the radiant mountain ring dimension instead?

It's not like we have too few shelters to pay attention to right now! Rather, it could be said that our race is advancing at a rapid pace, conquering dimensions and shelter, braving dangers every single time…"

Commander Nuyra hadn't expected to hear this question right now, and he needed some time to think of a proper answer because he was not sure about the answer himself.

"I'm only a commander and don't have access to classified information, but from what I can tell, the government wants to figure out the secret of the radiant mountain ring dimension, and why the Miac alliance put in so much effort and funds to seize it!

The entire dimension doesn't seem to be as simple as one might think. It has a high number of rare beasts and almost everything inside the radiant mountain ring dimension is valuable, yet, this wouldn't lead a dozen or more races to make an alliance in order to reign the dimension alone!

In the end, there are not many reasons that would cause such a huge reaction. Thus, the government, and I think almost every other race that will attend the basic race gathering believe that there might be an ancient city or something equally valuable inside the radiant mountain ring dimension.

However, that is just the assumption I have, and not an established fact!"

Shane nodded his head, not sure whether the government was playing around or not.

If something went wrong, it was possible for mankind to have offended more than a dozen races at once!

This result would be devastating for their entire race, and even worse was that the Dark Ice elves might pay more attention to them. The possibilities were harrowing which caused him to voice out his concern as he mumbled,

"Is that really worth it…?"

Commander Nuyra didn't hear Shane who had whispered the doubt while thinking about a solution, but his concerns were the same.

Nevertheless, he was duty-bound to follow the government's instructions.

As such, they entered the large hall without wasting any more time.

The moment they stepped through the automatic door, several different races came into their sight.

However, instead of witnessing a scene where the races were talking with each other calmly, Shane saw that there were three small groups that seemed to be about to clash with each other.

All three of them were bipedal races, and from their appearance, one could already tell what kind of affinity they had awoken.

Their skin color was that of their affinity, which was Ice, Earth, and Fire!

Many races didn't have the same opportunity as the human race had, as they awoke their race's affinity without being able to awaken another one.

The human race could awaken their affinity according to the occupation they were able to choose. This was a great advantage because it made the human race more versatile than the Luiar, Jasdron, and Fiasr race that were about to clash with each other.

While the members of the Luiar race had conjured several compressed ice spears around them, the Jasdron race was using earth spikes.

Only the Fiasr race representatives were doing nothing, but radiating searing heat from their large body that was toned and flexible enough to face all kinds of situations.

At least, that was how Shane evaluated the situation of the small Fiasr race's group that was confidently standing between the group of the Luiar on one side and Jasdron race on the other.

A fight was about to break out at any moment, and the appearance of the human race distracted the three groups.

The three groups were blocking the direct path through the hall and everyone was about to walk around them, when Shane mumbled, "We are no pushovers."

After that, he puffed out his chest and walked straight ahead, through the three groups that would have started to fight with each other, if not for a young, weak-looking being who had walked through their groups without the slightest trace of nervousness.

Shane simply ignored them and didn't mind their glares, while Commander Nuyra could only slap his forehead.

'This is not what I thought about being a pushover…'

Only a moment later, the three groups were rambling about Shane's rudeness.

"Little fella, piss off! What the hell do you think you're doing??"

"Don't try to act ballsy and put your IQ on display which is lower than that of a brick?"

"Don't you see that we are about to fight out our conflict??? Are you blind or simply stupid?"

Instead of being enraged, a smile escaped Shane's lips because the three groups of young prodigies from their respective race were trying hard to prevent cursing his family and entire race.

This was something they should prevent, but one of the prodigies from the Fiasr race ignored the well-meant advice their monarch had given and added fuel to the fire

"I don't think you've been taught well bastard! Didn't your mother tell you that it's important to pay respect to other races upon meeting them? Maybe your mother was not intelligent enough to teach you manners, whatever!"

It was at that moment, that Aisha and Frer, who knew about Shane's mother shouted in unison,

"Shane, don't!"

However, it was already too late, and Shane, who would never accept someone talking bad about his mother, transferred a humongous amount of mana from the Hidden Paradise at once. It took him mere seconds to envelop his body in a thick layer of bloodlust-killing-intent.

Mana was seeping through his body and his demeanor changed in the blink of an eye. He glared at the young prodigy from the Fiasr race with ice cold eyes that radiated nothing but the intention to kill and asked in an equally cold voice.

"What did you say??"
