Offer To The CEO

Chapter 39 - The Police Report/Recollections Of Meeting Her - Part 2

Tuesday, continued ...

Hou Yi, could not stop thinking about the woman that was his wife. He had arrived in Melbourne, Australia 6 months ago, after a series of business meetings in Toyko, Japan. He headed to Hou Enterprises Australian based lawyers ANX Lawyers in Melbourne for meetings regarding preliminary matters on new commercial development they were the lead developer. This commercial development was going into new areas that Hou Enterprises had not been in before, particularly away from its traditional manufacturing, retailing and investment strategies.

After stepping off the plane and going through customs, Hou Yi realised it had been about 5 or 6 years since he had left Melbourne after completing his Masters of Business Administration, and missed the friend he made. Here he was treated as an equal, like a real person, not like the princeling everyone at home treated him like. The praise he gained from his own work and merit, not because of his ancestors and their work. He came here, unlike his contemporaries as he as he wanted the carefree lifestyle to allowed, and because Australia was more and more a key country for Hou Enterprises expansion in the future.

The one thing he did not want to do, is run into another so-called princeling, Lu Jinhu. Lu Jinhu simply took it for granted he would become his family's company Lu Corporation CEO on his father's retirement yet had nothing to do with it. He had for 5 years based himself here in Melbourne, and was engaged to an Australian woman. However this engagement had not stopped him being a womaniser when back home in City T, which disgusted Hou Yi.

Hou Yi knew his parents loved and adored their only son, but did not blindly treat him as a perfect child. He was taught right from wrong, when to step in and help people, to admit to his mistakes, the importance of respecting his partner, and most importantly marriage was for a lifetime not a whim. He knew, despite all his advantages, he had to work for what he achieved.

Lu Jinhu, however in the eyes of his parents could do no wrong, they indulged and supported his womanising behaviour, failed to have him respect his fiancée, and refused to make him work for everything he received. Rumours abounded about his behaviour in City T, including that he would drug and sexually assault or **** women, particularly those of lesser social standing. His parents excused his rumoured behaviour and used their money and power to either buy off his victims or ensure that they could not pursue him legally for his crimes.

Hou Yi, in Lu Jinhu's visit to City T a month ago, overheard him telling friends that as soon as he had gotten what he wanted he would dump his Australian fiancée and ensure that she was left with nothing as a result of their relationship ending. Additionally he told these friends that when he dumped her, he would drug her and make her available to them for sex, provided he could film it, ensuring that she was the only one visible, as he needed it for blackmail against her against legal action, and to continue once he dumped her with providing him and of course his friends with sex on demand in Australia.

Hou Yi found this completely reprehensible behaviour. It disrespected the woman who was willing to commit herself to a relationship with him, as well as women more generally. It was only because they were at a charity event he did not do what he wanted to do, which was confront him about the behaviour. He just wished he knew her details so, while he was here he could locate her, and tell her what he was planning so she could protect herself as she did not deserve this.

Hou Yi, shook himself from those thoughts and went back to more pleasant things. As he would be here overnight to message his Melbourne based friends, sending them the text message, "Hi everyone. In Melbourne overnight for company business. Anyone free to catch up for a meal and/or a drink?"

Hou Yi paused for a few seconds thinking about his first brief meeting with his bride and looked over to where she was sitting. It was obvious to him, that she was struggling not to burst into tears speaking to Officer Mu. He knew he needed to comfort and support her. As he started to move, Anna caught him out of the corner of her eye and shook her head, sending him the message she did not need him to come over immediately, but would let him know if she did. Hou Yi understood what she was indicating and nodded.
