Chapter 25: The Black skull

Jones glanced at the trembling pirates on the ship, then back at Shillong, and said. “Your Excellency, what is this?”

”A gift for you,” Shillong replied.

”This pirate ship should still have some value. There should be some valuable stuff in it, like this.”

After speaking, Shillong spread his claws, revealing a small black skull.

It’s the thing the pirate captain used to cast spells.

”Do you know what’s this? It feels a bit interesting but you can still take it.”

”It’s filled with the magic of death, darkness, and withering.”

Jones slowly walked to Shillong’s claws, picked the skull, and looked at it.

”It’s a very powerful magic item. It should be a relic of the past era!”

”Then I’ll give it to you.”

”Thank you, Sir Shillong!” Jones bowed slightly and expressed his gratitude.

”Yeah.” Shillong nodded.

”Didn’t you say that you are wanted by some kingdom? With this ship, you can start a journey on the sea, it’s relatively safe, but if you insist on going to other continents, there’s no problem, I can take you there.”

”Journey on the sea?” Jones muttered to himself.

This can be regarded as a safe plan. With a sturdy ship and a few crew members, it’s indeed safe to cross the sea.

’Is this what I want?’

”Yes! Yes! Master Mage, don’t worry.” The obscene pirate nodded repeatedly while bowing.

The young pirate amongst the three left the two behind and followed Jones.

From the beginning to the end, Jones didn’t look at the two tied up me, they died a long time ago…

The glass in the cabin had been broken, falling to the ground in bits and pieces. There’s a lot of water around it, obviously as a result of the tsunami. The ship also looked a little worn.

The pirates took Jones straight to the largest and most luxurious room. It’s well decorated, with many luxury items such as animal skins and carpets around, but they looked very messy due to the previous tsunami…

Two beautiful women soaked in seawater, each with a soft blanket wrapped around their body, looked at Jones and the young pirate with fear.

The young pirate looked at the two women lustfully, then turned his gaze to Jones and said.

”Master, this is the room of our original leader. It’s also the best place on the ship. It’s yours now.”

”This room is good, I will leave here alone in the future.” Jones nodded, then he looked at the two women and said.

”You can leave now.”

When the two women heard Jones’ words, their bodies started severely trembling. There was a horrified look on their face.

”No…please don’t drive us away! We don’t want to be playthings for a group of lustful men…sir! We can serve you!”

”Huh?” Jones frowned.

The young pirate who had been observing Jones immediately looked at the women with rage and roared.

”You two trashes! Didn’t you hear what sir has said? Get out of this room quickly! Otherwise, I will slice you into pieces!”

The two women trembled even more upon hearing this fierce roar, tears slipped from the corner of their eyes.

Shivering in fear, the two of them did not dare to speak. They could only stand up, still wrapped in a blanket, then walk out of the door while hanging their heads.

Jones watched all of this in silence.

Pachi, who had been lying on Jones’ shoulders suddenly said “What will happen to these two women when they leave this room?

”I..It…It spoke! It’s a speaking monster!” The young pirate suddenly exclaimed upon hearing Pachi speak. He looked at the miniature dragon on Jones’s shoulder with horror.

He thought that it was just a pet before, but it can speak!

’What the hell is this!’

’Why are all the monsters that I encountered today can speak?’

The two women also looked at Pachi with a surprised look.

”You’re the monster! I’m Pachi! The spirit dragon Pachi!” Pachi glared angrily at the young pirate, causing the latter to shudder.

”Pachi, why are you asking? Are you interested in these two women?” Jones asked.

”Yeah.” Pachi nodded, jumping from Jones’s shoulders to his head, he continued.

”I want two servants too! When you worked with that earl before, there were many people serving me. The previous ten years on that isolated island were too uncomfortable!”

”Hah~ thinking about it, I’m over forty! I have been with you for more than 20 years, and I have lived on that desert island for the majority of those 20 years, this is too sad…”

At the end, Pachi looked a bit sentimental

”…” Jones was silent, then glanced at the pirate: “Relocate these two women to a room near me and don’t let anyone disturb them.”

”Yes…yes…sir.” The pirate looked at Pachi cautiously, for fear that the small monster would suddenly rush to bite himself, and after saying this, he quickly took the two women and left.

”If you want them to serve you, then you go convince them yourself,” 

Jones said, then started rummaging the room, trying to see if there’s anything valuable in this place.

He found an iron box under the bed and found a key inside a wooden table leg. He used the wooden key to open the treasure box, only to find that it’s full of gold coins, silver coins, and jewelry.

This wealth is quite considerable. Jones estimated that this treasure box is worth at least 200 to 300 gold coins.

Later, he found two muskets and a diary.

The diary is the most hidden thing, Jones had to use a locating spell before he found it.

After Jones found the diary, he started flipping through it.

It records everything about the skull that Shillong gave him!
