Chapter 10: Lucky or Unlucky?

”Save him? How to save him?” The old man laughed angrily.

”I just used the priceless thousand-mile teleportation scroll! Once used, people will be randomly teleported thousands of miles away! I don’t even know where we currently are! Save him? Pooh! Ah, my precious teleportation scroll!”

The old man felt very distressed. He originally paid more than half of his wealth in order to get that teleportation scroll.

The woman called Rebecca was calmed by the burly man’s words. The three of them finally started looking around.

Now the three of them are in a clearing, with trees everywhere on the left, and a huge cave on the right.

The three of them looked at the cave silently for a moment, before the middle-aged man said.

“The cave on the right is very big. It should be the living place of some kind of giant beast. We should go and look inside, If there is some giant beast, we’ll kill it. Anyway, we need a place to spend the night in.”

The other two had no opinion on this proposal.

Although the entrance to the cave is huge, the three of them are quite confident in their strength.

Apart from Rebecca who is quite weak, the other two consider themselves very strong among humanity.

The door was partly opened, and the cry of some kind of beast could be heard from inside.

The middle-aged man slowly approached the door, then stuck his head and looked through the small opening.

Seeing that the middle-aged man didn’t respond for a while after looking inside, the old man and the beautiful woman decided to check together. They also extended their heads and peeked inside.

In an instant, the two of them felt suffocated.

’OMG! This cave is full of gold coins, silver coins, and various shiny gems!’

’What is this place? Is it heaven?’

“Jones, are you getting timider with age?”

”Are you really crazy? Or do you think you can defeat an adult dragon? Are you delusional? Do you think that you are a legendary level warrior?!” The Old Mage Jones shouted loudly.

”Hmph! I don’t need to defeat their mother, I only need to defeat these two little things! I can give up these treasures! But I can’t give up the flesh and blood of these wyverns and their heart of true magic!” said the strong man confidently.

”Idiot! You’re alone if you want to die!” Seeing that persuading this bloke is hopeless, the old man cursed one last time, then quickly ran outside the cave.

The strong man spat on the ground and said disdainfully.

“Coward! Can you even call yourself a mage? You don’t even know the saying of looking for wealth in danger!”

Rebecca was still stunned, she didn’t pay to their conversation at all. From the beginning, the only thing left in her eyes were those shiny golden treasures and beautiful gems.
