My Farm System: Reaching The Top In The Parallel Earth!

189 Chapter 189

No matter how much Claude wanted to gather enough origin energy before he start an all-out assault on the 7th rank mages, what the Serpentine Empress did make that almost impossible

Even for the current him, a combination of five 7th rank mages is not a lineup that he could fight and emerge victorious easily

Even escaping from them was hard to do even with the support of the entire realm

Claude could open up space easily to flee but while the 7th rank mages could lock space with a higher level of difficulty, they still have the numerical advantage

After all, these mages are like small worlds inside a bigger world. They are not as strong as the entire world but nonetheless, they are still worlds

At the very least, preventing Claude from escaping is still possible as long as there are enough numbers of them

Since Claude still hasn’t obtained all the ownerless Blessed Land on earth, he still cannot disregard five 7th rank mages

He tries to flee but when he try to do so, at least four of these mages would focus on locking space while the remaining one would attack him

Claude was not given enough time to flee and seeing that fleeing is impossible, he could only face them directly

He doesn’t have much time to waste with them as the Blessed Lands would soon gather at a single point

If he were to be late, the Serpentine Empress might beat him to it. While he has a big advantage since he is the realm’s chosen, an outsider’s means are not something to be taken lightly!

Claude stopped trying to flee and almost instantly, the five mages surrounded him from different directions to make sure that he would not be able to flee from them

Once a person at the 7th rank managed to flee, it would almost be impossible for the others to find them as they can hole themselves inside their Blessed Land that would constantly swim in the layers of space

Since Claude is seen as a 7th rank mage with the death toll of other mages on his hands, the others definitely would think that he could do the same

This was their only chance to kill him. If not, who knows how many more of them would die at his hands?

“Claude Preston! Stop your madness now!”

“Pay for your sins using your life!”

“Even death is not enough to atone for his sins!”

“He’s already a madman, he should be killed!”

“Die! You killed my good friend, you deserve to die a million deaths for that!”

Each and every 7th rank mages from three different countries all wish for Claude’s death

They are threatened by his presence while others lose people that they care about. But no matter what their reason was, there was only one thing that was constant and that is their desire to give Claude the death penalty

“I don’t care if I die. I’ll gladly sacrifice my entire life if it means saving my birth realm”

“However! People like you that don’t care about the countless lives that would die because of your actions don’t deserve to kill me!”

Claude replied strongly at them, not the least bit intimidated as his gaze landed on one of the mages that he knew had the smallest Blessed Land which also means that he has the least amount of origin energy out of the five

The least origin energy means the weaker a 7th rank mage is and right now, what Claude needed to do was to cut down the number of his opponents

With an aggressive wave of Claude’s hand, chains of light formed out of nowhere, wrapping around and piercing the mage’s projection of Blessed Land

As soon as those chains appeared, the same mage immediately sensed the connection he had with his Blessed Land was being hindered

It was not a complete blockage but the effects were still significant to the point that any other 7th rank mage would have some chance to kill him as long as the chains of light don’t cease to exist

“For my friend!” A female 7th rank mage shouted as she manipulated the surrounding nearby air

All the heat from the surroundings seemingly vanished as cold air blew by. This cold air could freeze anything and everything on its path, even the fabric of space froze

On Claude’s skin, a thin sheet of ice starts to form as if the mage wanted to turn him into an ice sculpture

The ice could only be seen from his skin but it felt like the coldness seeps through his flesh, organs, bones, and even soul

It was a level of coldness that no normal person could possibly withstand. Even a thousand 6th fusion rank mages could not possibly duplicate this kind of feat

Claude’s blood flow was affected as his entire body shuddered. Fortunately, if it was a one-on-one fight, he definitely wouldn’t lose and he could still deal with this level of coldness

Slivers of mana gathered around Claude’s body and the mana turned into a crimson fire that covered him from head to toe

If the cold air was packed with apocalyptic coldness, the crimson fire on Claude’s body on the other hand was packed with incredibly high temperatures that could burn anything in this world

With the deep cold taken care of, Claude didn’t waste any time. He was the first one that attacked and he wouldn’t let the advantage he grabbed be taken away from him

His figure seemingly vanished from his original position and when he arrived, he was already in front of the mage that was trying to deal with his chains of light

On Claude’s palm, a magic circle formed. One side of the magic circle was pitch-black darkness while the other side was a dazzling light

The power of light and darkness gathered in his palm and he uses it to strike the said mage in his stomach

That mage and the others are definitely not just there as decorations and they went to attack Claude

“Aahhh!!!”

The mage affected by the chains screamed miserably as he felt a part of his Blessed Land being forcefully taken away from him

His heart was riddled with anxiety and fear as he and the other mages watch as Claude robbed a part of his Blessed Land

The Serpentine Empress informed them that Claude could steal other 7th rank mages’ Blessed Land

However, since no prey of Claude has ever survived, they don’t believe her 100%. That was especially since the Serpentine Empress has the reputation of being an outsider which causes her to be far from being a reliable source of information since she could speak only half-truths that could mislead them

But now, they had seen firsthand that the Serpentine Empress was indeed right. Claude could steal other mages’ Blessed Land!

If that fact was true then what about Claude being the so-called realm’s chosen?

Was that also true? Was he really a person birthed by the realm to save it by killing all the 7th rank mages?

Unconsciously, the information that the Serpentine Empress discloses was seen by these mages as factual. Their doubts were clearing up to the point that their killing intent for Claude grew

However, before they could attack, Claude already spoke again

“The next one that would attack me would suffer the same fate. If you still care about your Blessed Lands, think twice before taking any action!” Claude said harshly

He always wanted to kill his prey so that his abilities wouldn’t leak. He doesn’t want to prove his identity as the realm’s chosen and force these mages to team up against him

However, obtaining the ownerless Blessed Land is more important. Only with enough origin energy would he be able to kill all those who should die

Until now, he was able to kill 7th rank mages since they are still spread everywhere in the realm

But once they recognize the danger of his existence, they definitely wouldn’t be as naive as to stay alone

They would stick to each other to prevent themselves from dying

Once they stick to each other, Claude almost has no chance to kill them if he doesn’t have enough origin energy that he could only obtain by taking the ownerless Blessed Lands that the realm prepared for him

As such, leaking his information is a small price to pay for him to obtain the Blessed Lands

Humans are innately selfish. None of them wants to suffer any loss while the others don’t

Claude wanted to rely on the nature of humans to divide them and see if he could sneak out. And as he expected, hesitation flashed on the faces of these mages

The five stared at each other but none of them was willing to step out and attack first in fear that Claude would also steal their Blessed Land

They want others to make a move first before they would do the same
