My Ex-husband Regrets After Signing The Divorce

Chapter 20 - Back To The Chen Residence

"I'm really sorry. I didn't do it on purpose." Bai Ran lowered her head and scratched her fingers as she apologized softly.

"Did you enjoy lying down on me just now?" Chen Chen moved to the bed with difficulty. When he thought of Bai Ran's actions earlier, he could not help but feel secretly pleased.

"No." Bai Ran suddenly raised her head and denied it. "I was just too afraid."

"You didn't catch the rat in the end. If I had known, I would have gotten out of bed," Bai Ran said timidly, looking at the spot where the rat had appeared.

"From the sound of it, I've taken advantage of you." Chen Chen tilted his head and frowned.

"I…"

How could she say that? How could she say that she had been immersed in it earlier?!

She felt so relieved! She did not want a divorce anymore! She wanted to be with Chen Chen!

"Ding…" Chen Chen's phone suddenly rang.

Chen Chen glanced at Bai Ran and picked it up.

"Boss, bad news. Miss Hu Wan suddenly fainted!" An anxious voice came from the other end of the line.

"Where are you now? Quickly send her to the hospital! I'll be right there!" Chen Chen hung up the phone, hurriedly changed his clothes, and ran out of Bai Ran's house.

Bai Ran walked to the balcony and watched as Chen Chen's car sped away. She suddenly felt a little awake.

The only person in Chen Chen's heart was Hu Wan. It would always be Hu Wan!

As long as it was her matter, he would resolve it without explanation and always put her first!

Looking at the mice hiding in the room, Bai Ran was very sad.

She could only rely on herself to resolve these matters. She should not rely on anyone.

It was ridiculous. She really did not want a divorce earlier!

After a sleepless night, Bai Ran was almost late for work the next day. Fortunately, there was no filming the next day.

She could only wait patiently to see when her grandmother and grandfather would be able to settle her household register! As long as she left Chen Chen, her heart would no longer be so easily affected by him!

Bai Ran made up her mind to go to Grandma's place tonight. If Grandma had not told Grandpa yet, she was prepared to ask him herself!

As soon as she got off work, Bai Ran left the office and prepared to take a taxi there.

Coincidentally, Jiang Yun chased after her and said eagerly, "Ran Ran, let's eat together tonight."

"There's no need. I still have something on tonight," Bai Ran rejected with a wave of her hand.

"Can I ask you what you're busy with?" Jiang Yun felt like he had crossed the line as soon as he asked. He continued, "Then why don't I send you there?"

"It's okay. I can take a taxi myself," Bai Ran said.

"It's okay. There's no need to stand on ceremony with me!" Jiang Yun said as he pulled Bai Ran to the parking lot.

It was difficult for Bai Ran to reject his kindness, so she could only get into the car.

When they arrived at the entrance of the Chen family's residence, Jiang Yun finally understood what she was talking about. He silently sent Bai Ran off the car and instructed, "Let me know if you need any help."

"Thank you," Bai Ran said with a faint smile. "Go back quickly. Don't worry about me."

"Okay, I'll make a move first." Jiang Yun turned around and drove away.

Chen Chen, who had just returned from a walk, saw all of this.

"Huh? You're here too?" Bai Ran saw Chen Chen.

"This is my house. Is it strange for me to be here?" Chen Chen's tone was not very good.

"I'm just saying, shouldn't you be accompanying Sister Wan? Didn't she faint yesterday?" Bai Ran was a little dissatisfied when she heard this tone. Had she provoked him?

"I have to accompany her so that you can flirt with this man?" Chen Chen said unhappily.

"Do you still care what happens between me and others?" Bai Ran grumbled softly. She finally knew why his tone was bad.

"Can't I care? Don't forget that you're my wife." Chen Chen's face was cold as he said seriously, "You can't be flirting around with other men outside."

"Pfft!" Bai Ran laughed out loud.

"… Is it that serious? Don't forget that we're about to get a divorce." Bai Ran found it a little ironic. "If I'm called an unfaithful woman just because I took someone else's car, then may I ask Young Master Chen, what are your actions called? Disloyalty?"

"I don't care. You can't!" Chen Chen replied arrogantly.

"Young Master Chen, you're a little too domineering!" Bai Ran couldn't be bothered to pester him. She turned around and went back into the house.

In the past few minutes, Grandma had finally hesitated to tell Grandpa about the household register.

Grandpa was in control of the family's decisions. As long as he agreed, this matter would basically be settled.

Therefore, Grandma had been delaying this and finally spoke.

However, Grandma still insisted on her own thoughts. "I really want Ran Ran to be my granddaughter-in-law forever."

Grandpa replied, "Don't I want that? I got someone to watch over them and not let them separate.. I couldn't save their relationship either. He's determined to be with Hu Wan now!"
