When Xiao li woke up the next day, she felt very uneasy. However, she could not understand why she was feeling so anxious. Jingyi Wang had not returned the previous night and she could not help, but worry.

At that moment as she was thinking, her phone rang. She glanced at the screen and saw Jingyi Wang's name.

A smile flashed across her face as she answered the call, "Ah Jin, why didn't you come home late night?"

"Is this Jingyi Wang's wife? Your husband got into an accident"

The moment Xiao li heard the person's words, her eyes widened in shock. Her heart was beating wildly and her hands were shaking so violently that she could not stand still.

Her phone fell out of her grip and landed on the floor with a loud 'bang'

"Young miss, Young miss, what happened?" Xiao li could only hear voices around her, but didn't know what was happening.

At the hospital.

Jingyi Wang was placed on the stretcher and was pushed into the hospital. A car drove in and Xiao li got out of the car and then quickly ran into the hospital.

When she saw Jingyi Wang's condition, she almost went crazy.

He was bleeding profusely!

As Xiao li looked at his body, she felt as if she would collapse.

"Ah Jun, hold on!" Xiao li's voice was was full of fear. Her gaze was on Jingyi Wang and she did not care about everything that was happening around her. "If you leave me like this, I'm gonna hate you to death"

When Jingyi Wang heard her hoarse voice, he regained some of his consciousness.

"Xiao li" Jingyi Wang's lips moved a little and she heard him whispering her name. The movement of his brows caused her heart to ache. She felt her body turn cold. The scars on Jingyi Wang's face made him look out of sorts.

However, in Xiao li's eyes, the magnificence of his body had not changed; He was still very charming.

Tears rolled down Xiao li's face and she lowered her head to place her soft lips on his scars.

"Ah Jin, I love you"

Xiao li suddenly raised her head and looked at his injured face.

She just realised that she could not do without him in her life. When she heard that he had an accident, she felt that she had lost half of her heart.

Although, she had always acted stubborn and showed that she never had feelings for him, her actions today proved that she had been acting stubborn all these while.

She truly had feelings for Jingyi Wang.

Xiao li's words moved Jingyi Wang's heart and he stirred a little.

Just as Jingyi Wang opened his lips to talk, the nurses wheeled him away to the emergency room. Their hands which had been tightly clenched were separated.

After Xiao li was forced to release his hand, a shattered look appeared in her eyes. "Ah Jin..."

She stood still and watched as Jingyi Wang unconscious body moved further and further away from her. Everybody watched as she squatted and broke into tears.

Xiao li was in a daze as she sat on the bench in the hospital's waiting area. An Jun stood by her side with a sullen face.

"How did the accident happen?" Xiao li spoke after a long period of time with a hoarse voice.

Xiao li was sure that An Jun must have known about the accident since he had always been the one with Jingyi Wang.

She turned her head to look at him when she didn't hear a word from him. "Why are you not talking?"

"Young master left with his car alone last night. He told me not to take him home. I also got the news about his accident this morning also"

Xiao li did not say another word. Her heart was in great pain and an indescribable sense of despair flooded her like a cold tide.

She couldn't bear the pain and clutched her chest tightly with tears rolling down her beautiful face.

An Jun couldn't bear to see Xiao li in her despondent state.

Jingyi Wang was more than a brother to him. He treated him like his own flesh and blood and he could not bear to see Xiao li get hurt and cry her eyes out.

His gaze softened as he spoke. "Young miss, don't be sad. I believe Young master would make it alive from there"

Although, he didn't know how to coax Xiao li in her current state, he still tried to comfort her.

By that time, the Wang's family had heard about their son's accident and drove over. Wang Shu was crying loudly in her husband's arms like a baby while her husband was saying some comforting words to calm her down.

This was the first time Xiao li saw Wang Shu's weak side. With the way she had always treated her son, and favoured Xiao li instead, one would have thought that she would never cry when she heard about her son's accident.

Wang Shu who had always stayed strong and mighty was now crying like a child in her son's arms.

Xiao li walked towards the couple and patted Wang Shu's back. "Mom, you don't have to worry. Jingyi Wang would not give up on his life just like that without thinking about his family"

Xiao li looked into Wang Shu's wet eyes and how she had spent her days with Jingyi Wang flashed through her mind like a movie. She vividly remembered how she sang a song to curse him that morning, but he didn't get mad at her.

Instead, he showed her love and care.

She had tried her best to get away from him. However, they were destined to be entangled with each other endlessly.

She had tried to suppress her love for him, but it had only grown stronger. She realized her feelings for Jingyi Wang were deeply engraved in her soul. It was as if he had seeped into her blood and bones.

She suddenly remembered a passage she had read in a book; Love would always return to it's fullest. Only then would it be interesting and worth fighting for.

It was the same for her and Jingyi Wang.

Truly, Jingyi Wang had hurt her in the past by ruining her marriage and reputation, but he never left her side for just one day. If people did not know their true story, they would think they were born together.

"Has the doctors come out yet?" Wang Shu looked towards the OR door as if waiting for a miracle to happen.

"No"

However, Xiao li's words broke her heart completely. She was a mother and Jingyi Wang was her only true son. If something bad could happen to him, she would not be able to take the pain of losing a child.

Seeing how weak Wang Shu had become, Xiao li brought her to seat down.
