She pulled Xiao li into the dining as she said, leaving the cold figure behind. Jingyi Wang watched with a cold expression as his mother pulled out a chair for Xiao li and gave her porridge.

At that time, Jingyi Wang felt a hand on his shoulder and turned his head. He saw his father smile at him and motioned for him to go and sit down.

After eating breakfast, Wang Shu quickly went to Xiao li and hugged her tightly. "Little Lili, mom will miss you so much. I don't want you to leave"

She raised her head and looked at Jingyi Wang pitifully and with an innocent look on her face, "My Jingyi, can you let Little Lili stay for two days more?"

"Nope" the man answered with a cold and stern voice. He had a tinge of displeasure between his brows as he glared at his mother.

He eyed his mother in disdain before walking away with a cold aura. "It's time to leave. Hurry up and don't waste my time"

Staring at the haughty figure walking away, Wang Shu felt the urge to lock him up in a basement.

In the end, Wang Shu walked Xiao li out and saw the father-Son pair discussing. Jingyi Wang's eyebrows were closely knitted throughout the entire journey and he seemed to be conflicted about something.

Xiao li felt that he had been acting weird since he talked to his father. He looked perturbed and seemed bothered by something.

However, she decided not to ask him and slept the entire way until they reached the villa. It was nearing dusk when they reached home. The western sky was full of red and rosy clouds and the view was charmingly serene.

Yang Lingsi and the other servant came out as soon as their car came in and helped them carry their luggage. Xiao li walked into the villa with Jingyi Wang walking ahead of her.

Jingyi Wang walked into the study room, grabbed his phone and switched on his laptop. He made a phone call while at the same time typing out his laptop password.

"An Jun, help me look into this person's info and I need it now" he said and hung up the call with a bang.

After a few minutes, An Jun called him and said some words which made Jingyi Wang face darkened in anger. He pressed the end call button with his thumb and tossed his phone aside.

Jingyi Wang walked into the room and gazed at the sleeping figure on the bed. The sky had darkened by then. It was pitch- black outside with not a star in sight save for a moon which was gradually getting obscured by the gloomy clouds.

Only the bed lamp was lit.

He walked to the bathroom to shower. After he was done showering, he changed into his pajamas and walked over the bedside. He climbed into the bed and took her into his arms.

In order not to wake her up, he moved with extra caution and rested her head on his arms gently. His fingers then brushed against her cheek.

His gaze fell on her face.

The person in his embrace was currently in a quiet, deep sleep and didn't know that someone was watching over her. From her gentle and tranquil sleeping appearance, this time seemed to be warm and peaceful.
