Loving The Dragon Lord CEO

Chapter 27 - Assignment

CHAPTER 27

"WHAT!!"

"Hmm, that was not the worst part," Xander started to say. His eyes drifted off as though he was recalling the incident as he spoke.

'Not the worst part? So, there is more other than leaving this overgrown...'

"She went ahead and kneed me in the groin." Before Sky could finish his thoughts, Xander's voice broke out, dropping the news on him like a bomb.

...

"Pfft…Hahaha hahaha hahaha…"

Sky couldn't contain his laughter anymore and let it out. He never would have expected his friend to go through that ordeal. This was the first time in all the years they had known each other for Sky to hear that a girl did that to Xander, the almighty and untouchable boss.

As much as it was funny to the listener, it wasn't funny to the one who suffered so much pain.

The air around them suddenly turned cold, much colder than before and Sky stopped laughing almost instantly. His gaze fell on Xander to see the expression of his boss friend suddenly turned sour and deadpan cold.

He exuded a deadly aura in the living room and the atmosphere became tenser as his anger rose. His face had a deadly calm about it, but one look at this strange guy would tell you danger lurked around him.

Before Sky knew it, he actually started feeling hot as a cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

"Ahem!" My apologies," Sky said as he cleared his throat. "You can calm down now."

Xander just closed his eyes and after two heart beats, he opened them. They went back to their normal calm look but still had this dangerous glint lingering in them.

"Now tell me, what did you do to deserve such a treatment? No girl in her right sense would do that to a man who saved her, except…"

"I kissed her."

Xander didn't give Sky the chance to finish his words when he dropped the second bomb on him. Like seriously, Xander Warner, who does that?

Sky was once again left stupefied by his friend's news. He didn't know how many times that night he would be shocked by this friend of his.

Who does that to a girl who is trying to flee from guys who want to have their way with her?

That would only qualify you as a pervert. Sky's head was beginning to hurt just thinking of how unreasonable his friend could be sometimes.

After a few minutes passed with none of them speaking, Sky broke the silence leaving Xander somewhat amused.

"Serves you right. Next time you should stay put and do things according to plan. I should scold you more but I think you got quite the punishment from Ms Wild Fish."

As soon as he finished his words, he caught Xander smiling wickedly to himself.

"Hey, what's with that weird devilish grin?" He couldn't help but ask. He knew how his friend became when he had his wry smile or his devilish grin on.

"Hmm, I am thinking of making you experience what I did. Maybe that would shut you up for the night."

His devilish smile only deepened, sending chills down his friend's spine as Sky subconsciously placed a hand over his groin.

"Hahaha... " Xander let out a small smile and his face turned serious immediately, as though the playful self never surfaced. "Find her. I need all information about her on my desk tomorrow morning." He got up from his seat and stood majestically, with both hands in his pocket.

Right now he had an imposing aura as though he was a mighty god who could crush a mountain with just his cold gaze.

"Failure to do so, you would get the same sweet punishment I got tonight that even Jenny won't be able to help."

"It's not like I was the one who forcefully kissed... "

Xander who had already turned around and was leaving suddenly stopped in his tracks and glared at Sky.

Gulp!

"Right on it."

"Hmm..." Only his gaze was enough to make anyone and everyone submit to him. He turned his head back, so he was now facing the entrance.

"Aren't you staying?" Sky's calm voice echoed softly. It was almost said in a whisper but Xander still heard it.

"No."

"Then why did you...? Don't tell me it is..."

"Yes, I only came to drop off your assignment personally. I still have a house."

With that, he walked out of the magnificent living room without looking back and left the mansion.

Outside the mansion, the chauffeur opened the door to the back seat of the car and Xander entered.

"Head to the mansion on 23rd street."

"Yes sir," the Chauffeur answered before closing the door.

Sky, who watched from the glass window as Xander's car drove off, sighed and went back to his seat.

He knew his friend lied about coming to his house to drop the assignment personally.

Okay, it wasn't really a lie as it had a part of the truth, but Sky knew it was more than that.

The three of them had been friends since they started to crawl and shared everything with each other, no matter how embarrassing.

Xander didn't have anyone to share his experience with and came to talk to him about it.

Although he didn't get any petting or encouragement from his friend, he still had someone to share it with.

Unlike Jay, who would have burst into an uproar of laughter, Sky was more reasonable and matured.

"Finally, you show interest. I'm glad."

Picking up his phone, he dialled a contact and someone answered.

"I got an assignment for you."
