Before they left to go for Tobio Kurayami decided to look for Kuroka and the place she spends a lot of her time is Azazel's lab as he had promised to help her with the negative effects keeping her from growing stronger. When he got in the lab, Kuroka had a few medical instruments strapped to her body while Azazel ran a number of tests on her blood, fur, and magical energy.

When Kuroka saw Kurayami enter the lab she smiled and waved. "Hi. Nya." He walked over to her and she ruffled his hair. "How are you Kuroka?" Her ears drooped and she looked a little sad. "Seems I don't have a lot of hope as things go. Azazel said the experiments pushed my demonic energy reserves but made it nearly impossible to increase them." She looked quite depressed even though she was an ultimate class being that was it for her.

However, Kurayami flicked her on the nose and she held her nose. She looked at him like a cat that got dosed in water. "Don't be such a downer Kuroka.. Who knows, maybe in the future you will find a way." She was going to say it is not possible, but suddenly Azazel spoke up. "Good news Kuroka." Kuroka looked at Kurayami who smiled and she gave him a big hug.

"You know, for a guy with such little expression you can really give a girl hope." She kissed him on the forehead and he was left stunned. She smiled and put him on her lap. "What did you find Azazel?" He looked at the papers in his hands and walked back.

"I found that your reserves are damaged and they need repair. Also, your demonic energy and your senjutsu are corrupted as the way you got your reserves so high was unnatural. As things go you won't grow stronger with training."

She looked crushed, while her ears and tails drooped sadly. However, he suddenly gave her a pill bottle that contained 30 white pills. She blinked a few times and took it in her hands. "What is this?" He smiled and explained. "Well with the demigods here many of them brought Nectar and Ambrosia which are for healing. I diluted some along with, phoenix tears, amrita from the Indian pantheon, and few other things."

Kurayami looked at it and was a little surprised. "Hey, Azazel. Is there anything you can't do?" This made him grin and he began to laugh. "I guess I am pretty impressive. Although if you want to thank me you can give me your little lion." Kurayami stopped smiling and pointed Rebellion at his face. "I guess Azrael will replace you after you're gone." Azazel laughed and backed away. "Joke. It was a joke. Anyway, they won't cure you fully, but it will be a start."

Kuroka took one of the white pills and felt her core begin to heat up and even her skin turned light red and pushed Kurayami off her and puked up black sludge and felt her energy feel easier to use. Kurayami looked at the sludge and went back to Kuroka who was equally shocked.

Azazel collected it and explained what it was. "That was the impurities in her body that made her energy reserves corrupted. This was the first one, so the rest will not have as many. Take them every week and I will see if this won't tell me more about what they did to you." Kuroka's mouth was totally black and she rushed out to take a shower and brush her teeth as that tasted horrible. Kurayami looked at Azazel who was back to running tests.

"What do you know about the reason she is a stray devil?" Azazel looked back and thought about it. "Well, you know what super devils are right?" He nodded. "Yeah. Sirzechs, Ajuka, and Rizevim are all super devils and easily in the top ten of the world's strongest. Old man Azrael is the equivalent of a super fallen angel and is stronger than them, But what about it?"

Azazel reached into a drawer and pulled out a file. "A devil was researching ways to create artificial super devils. Kuroka and her sister were taken in and you know Kuroka was turned into a devil and the experiments done to her were about trying to create super devils. It failed and Kuroka killed them. She told us the truth as she was deemed a failure and they were going to do the same to her sister."

Kurayami's fists clenched hard enough to pierce his skin. His bloody hands were dripping blood and he looked pissed. Kuroka was one of the people he considered important enough to risk his life for her. He knew why she went through the experiments all for her sister. He was going to help her get her sister back. Even if he had to start a war to do it.

Azazel sighed and went back to work. "Well, she should be cleared for field duty. Take her along with you as she has been coupled up here as she was still a fugitive, but as a member of Grigori unless the devils want a war on their hands they will back off." Kurayami left the lab and waited for about 5 minutes for Kuroka to come back.

She picked him up and he thought she smelled really good. Her next words left him speechless. "Hey, in the future want to have some kittens with me?" He was left slack-jawed and he looked at her and saw she was smiling at him. "If that is what you want I will give you as many as you want. However, why me?" She put him down and kneeled to look at him eye to eye.

"Well, you spend more time with me than anyone. You care about me and I would think you are older than 13. Plus you are a 6 wing fallen along with a Longinus user. Old man Azrael said you have the potential to reach the super fallen angle class and who is better than you." He smiled and stroked her cat ears and she flinched. "You touched my ears. Take responsibility for that."

He smiled and nodded. "Just give me a few years as I am still a kid. Never wished to be an adult more than I do now." She laughed at his words. "Pervert." He shrugged and began to leave. "You are coming with us. Azazel said you are clear for field duty." Kuroka's ears stuck straight up and rushed after him. "I am going with you Nya." They went back to the rest of them.

When they saw Kuroka they thought it was strange. "Kuroka, are you clear for field duty?" She nodded and turned into a small black cat and jumped on Kurayami's head. "Yup. Azazel finally found a way to treat me, Nya. I am in a great mood." When the girls saw Kuroka they all thought that Kuraymi had a special affinity to animals and they were not wrong.

He was a perfect tamer as his aura allowed things he had a pact with to evolve and grow much faster. Blitz his horse was left free-roaming at his home like Titus as the horse was not a fighter just really fast. It liked the open area and Aurora and Tyrant were battle creatures, just that Aurora was too small for now. Lavinia needed to know. "Does Aurora like you?"

Kuroka turned back into a human and Kurayami summoned Aurora who jumped in Kuroka's arms. The little lioness looked really happy and Lavinia was left sad. "Why does she not like me?" She looked like she would cry, but Aurora was relentless and didn't care. "Esdeath smiled and petted the lioness. "Maybe animals just don't like you." The girls all pet the lioness, except Lavinia.

They opened a teleport circle to the same city that Tobio was from and they looked around and all over the thing the people talked about was the tragedy of the high school students. The funeral was yesterday and it seemed it was said there would be no chance for survivors. "Well let's mind my cousin and get out." They nodded, but Kuroka stayed in cat form as she was lazy.

She hung out on his head while they all looked for Tobio. Lavinia had a look on her face and asked a question. "How do we find him? Do we let Tyrant smell to find him?" Kurayami shook his head and brought out one of his back keys from his jacket and cut his palm. Lavinia seemed shocked he would do that, but he dropped the blood on the ground and a red magic circle opened on the ground.

People watching were left with blank looks and Kurayami closed his eyes and focused on the spell. This lets the user find one who shared their blood to the highest amount and found Tobio. His hand healed and he opened his eyes. "This way." He walked toward Tobio who he saw was chasing after a few people. Apparently one of his friends was on the boat and he couldn't accept it. They moved faster to reach Tobio before he did something stupid.

They reached the abandoned building where the idiot Tobio went into. Love makes you blind and Tobio was just one of the unlucky ones to fall to it and was led to a discreet place where he could be captured, or killed. When they got their Tobio was being attacked by a creature resembling a giant lizard. The mouth of the creature was painted with blood.

Its tongue struck out at Tobio who had a piece of pipe trying to stop the thing, but no way a flimsy pipe will stop something that can go through concrete as it had tried to speed Tobio and missed. It just went through the concrete. It shot it at him and its tongue was tipped with a spike and it cut Tobio's cheek. It shot its tongue at him and he closed his eyes waiting for death.

Kurayami suddenly snapped his fingers and a blaze of flames hit the lizard and turned it to ash. Tobio recoiled at the heat and opened his eyes to an inferno of purple flames. "Hey, Tobio. I would move back as those flames will make this building melt in a few minutes." Tobio looked at the flames and they refused to go out. They had nothing to burn, but they began to burn the concrete for fuel.

He ran back and saw a boy about 14 with a black cat on his head and a golden lion in his hands. Behind him were 4 girls with three being his age and one being in her late teens in a witch cosplay. "Kurayami approached him and extended his hand. Tobio shook his hand and Kurayami introduced himself.

"Let's be quick. I am Kurayami Himejiman. Your grandmother was a Himejima and as such you are my cousin. I will explain later, but we need to go first." Tobio was going to ask more as he just met a kid claiming to be his cousin. His grandmother was deceased and she was a Himejima.

"Wait. You can't just drop that on me. How are those flames burning concrete." Akeno raised her hands and smiled. "Hi. I am Akeno Himejima. Your cousin as well. We will explain in time, but not now." Esdeath clapped and he fell asleep. Lavina poked him with her finger and asked. "What did you do?" Esdeath smiled. "A little trick that Kuroka taught us, but we need to leave."

Lavinia looked at Koroka who nodded. "That was Senjutsu. She controlled his lifeforce to put him to sleep. You are doing good." They picked up Tobio, but unlike Natsue they all just grabbed one of his limbs and raised him that way. They teleported away while the building began to burn in flames. It would be on the news that the fire was nearly impossible to put out.
