Last Shelter Online

Chapter 168

Hiro was dumbfounded. Suddenly, in front of him stood the figure of a man hiding his body in a black robe with a hood covering his head. Next to the man was a black dragon the size of an adult husky who was flapping its wings slowly. The dragon grinned mischievously while baring its sharp teeth.

The figure appeared alone, replacing the destroyed drone in front of Hiro with a single lightning strike. When Hiro peeked at the face hidden under the hood, a familiar silhouette could be seen smiling faintly at him.

“Do you like to get people’s attention, Hiro?”

Hiro clenched his hands into fists when he heard the voice he had missed so much speaking directly in front of him.

“Y-Yujin.” Hiro’s tongue suddenly felt stiff, and he didn’t know what to say to Yuujin, who suddenly appeared in front of him.

Meanwhile, the Everlasting members were still surprised by the deafening sound of a lightning that struck so close to them. They also recognized the black robe man as one of the player killers who was considered a terrorist group on the server.

Jacob, who was standing very close to Hiro, immediately rushed to pull Hiro away from the figure standing in front of them.

“Hiro, back off!”

Zapppp!

A bolt of lightning struck the spot in front of Jacob’s feet just as he was about to grab Hiro, trying to save the man from being struck by the lightning. The lightning was so close to him that it made Jacob’s heart pounding crazily. His face had turned pale, like a corpse. Jacob fell to the ground helplessly, and Wheelie immediately helped him up.

“Don’t touch my friend!” Seeing what his brother had just done to Jacob made Hiro furious. He reflexively moved the Blood-Eater Vampire’s blade in his left side against Yuujin’s neck, trying to threaten the man.

Yuujin tilted his head, then chuckled.

“Ha ha ha. Did you just plan to kill me because I attacked your friend Hiro?”

Hiro remained silent, as if he had lost his voice. Yet, the serious look on his face didn’t change in the slightest. It didn’t soften at all. Meanwhile, his hand kept aiming the blade at Yuujin’s neck steadily.

“I’m so jealous of your dear friend. You know that, right?”

Yuujin moved his hand. Hiro, who had known that bad things would come every time his brother moved his hand, brought his blade closer to Yuujin’s neck. However, the black dragon next to Yuujin suddenly tossed Hiro’s sword away.

“I’m not going to kill anyone here. I’ll just introduce myself, like what you just did in the live broadcast, Hiro.”

Even though he still couldn’t believe Yuujin completely, Hiro let Yuujin open the hood that covered his face. It made the people in that place gasp in bewilderment after seeing the face behind the hood.

“Holy shit! Does the Boss have two accounts?!”

“I can’t believe my eyes, but… has the Boss split himself in two?”

They started muttering and judging how the person hiding behind the robe looked really alike with Hiro.

Yuujin turned his body to face the Everlasting members, then tilted his head while smiling.

From the eyes, nose, even his lips look exactly the same as Hiro, except for the hair. The man had longer hair. They were more suitable to be called twins than brothers.

“Good grief! Is he really WynterRain?!”

“Really? That WynterRain?”

“Yes, he is WynterRain, right?”

“You mean WynterRain, the leader of that terrorist group?”

Hiro didn’t know what his older brother was planning, but he remained on guard. Even though his eyes were a little distracted because of the black dragon looking at him fiercely. As if it really wanted to kill him right away, if only Yuujin didn’t stop the dragon that was about to charge at him.

“Wait, is he really our Boss’ brother?” BigShow started to connect pieces of information he had. After hearing Hiro’s confession in front of the drone, and the appearance of WynterRain which became the hot topic talked by players all over the server, BigShow felt that something was indeed off among all of it.

“Right. My name is WynterRain. I am a human just like you, and I have a little clingy brother that never stopped bothering me, even after I had died.” Yuujin turned her head to Hiro as he mentioned that he had a brother.

No one dared to speak, not even a rebuttal could be heard. Everyone kept their mouths shut and waited patiently for WynterRain’s words.

“What my brother said is true. Jeff Johnson is a murderer. And if you don’t agree with that, you’d better leave this guild right away.”

Hiro felt that the words Yuujin had just said were too harsh. His brother should not have interfered with his affairs. Even him as the guild leader, let his guild members choose to believe it or not believe it.

“Stop it, Yujin. This guild is my guild. Stop interfering with things that are none of your business.”

Yuujin turned his body back to face Hiro, who was looking at him with his eyebrows knitted together. Hiro really wasn’t afraid of his brother anymore. Even if Yuujin came to kill him once again, he had already prepared a way to dodge the attack.

But— Yuujin didn’t seem interested in killing him this time. He tapped Hiro’s shoulder three times, then smiled.

“Don’t worry. I only came here for two reasons.”

“First. I want to warn you. You have to be careful about trusting someone, especially if it is your best friend. When something is not in line with your plan, you have to get rid of that person quickly.”

Yuujin’s eyes shifted to Noah, who had pulled out a Mystic Tome in front of him. The man was ready to attack Yuujin at any time. Then, next to Noah, was Jacob, who had also pulled out his sword and shield just in case the lightning came again unexpectedly. The last one was Cara, who was still sitting in her chair with a flat expression on her face. The girl didn’t seem interested in what was going on in front of her.

“I know what I’m doing and what I believe, Yuujin.” Hiro didn’t know what Yuujin meant by telling him something like that.

A faint smile spread across Yuujin’s face. He patted Hiro’s shoulder once again.

“Great. I know you’re mature enough to know that. You are a reliable person, Hiro.”

“And second. First of all, I have to apologize for interrupting your first live broadcast on a channel that everyone in the world can watch, Hiro. I just can’t wait to congratulate you in person without getting filmed by the camera.”

Yuujin had a more muscular and taller body compared to Hiro, so he could put one of his hands on Hiro’s head. The man brought his face closer to Hiro, saying something he had been holding back for a long time.

“Well done, Hiro. Although you are still far from catching up with my power, you are the best player here, in the Last Shelter Online. I know you’ve been through a lot. But for now, I ask you to not stop! Keep getting stronger so that no one can bring you down. As your brother, seeing you grow this fast is an honour. You know that I’m very proud of you right, Hiro?”

Hiro froze on the spot. His heart suddenly felt like it was about to burst out of happiness because of Yuujin’s words. He really needed it so he could keep on doing his plan.

He had worked hard, but no one acknowledged it. And now, it was his dead brother who acknowledged his abilities. Hiro could feel his nose getting wet. He lifted his face so that tears wouldn’t fall out in front of everyone. It would be very embarrassing.

Yuujin smiled, seeing Hiro’s reaction. However, he had not finished yet.

“I might not be able to join the celebrations here with Everlasting. But, I have a gift for you.”
