Kiss Me Not

Chapter 11 - Not Your Breakfast

Brione ignored his teasing. But inside her head, she was starting to compare Gavin's and Cedric's characters. Gavin was not this open when it came to teasing her but Cedric was.

'But a person's character is always unpredictable Brione,' her inner self reasoned.

She was so absorbed in her thoughts that it never occurred to her that they already reached the Palace. Upon feeling the eyes that were on them once they entered inside, Brione immediately whispered, "You can put me down."

"No!" Cedric declared and made his way directly to the elevator, not in the least bit bothered about the eyes on them. Once they were inside the elevator, Brione started struggling a bit.

"Stay still, we're almost there," Cedric uttered, secretly enjoying their current position. Brione stopped when the elevator doors opened on the 3rd floor, thinking they would enter her room which was located there.

But to her surprise, Cedric walked past her door and stopped by the next door.

"This is not my room," she said.

"Yeah, I know. This is my room," Cedric plainly answered as he went inside.

Brione was in awe seeing the spacious room. It was almost as big as a house inside. Cedric put her down on the couch of his living area and said, "Stay still, I'll go get the first-aid box."

Brione no longer complained because she knew nothing would happen. Besides, the Prince was doing nothing to harm her so there was no need to exaggerate. It would be best to accept his hospitality especially now that she wanted to confirm his real identity. Now is not the time to be enemies with him. She has to get closer to him for her to find out the truth. To know if he was Gavin or she was just mistaken.

He did not take long and quickly bent down to check her knees. He cleaned up her knee and put an ointment on her wound. He also inspected her leg to make sure there was no major injury or a sprain.

"You're lucky that it's only a small wound. Keep this ointment, it will prevent scarring…" he said and handed the ointment to Brione.

"Thank you…" Brione whispered.

"Having breakfast with me would be a nice gesture of your gratitude rather than words," Cedric said with a smile as he stood up and extended his hand to her.

When Brione looked at his hand, the memory of Gavin offering his hand to her just like this flashed before her eyes. She decisively raised her hand to accept Cedric's hand.

She was quiet as Cedric pulled her towards his enormous balcony where a scrumptious breakfast was spread out on the table. There were a few servants on the side who greeted both of them.

"Good morning Your Highness… Miss Brione…"

Brione nodded with a timid smile and pulled her hand from his after realizing he was still holding it. Cedric pulled a chair for her and she reluctantly took her seat.

"Eat heartily," Cedric whispered with a serious face. This was another thing she noticed. He maintained a serious and aloof face most of the time, like a cold Prince, unlike Gavin who always smiled and winked a lot. She has seen the Prince smile but it looked more like a smirk or a sly and cunning grin at most.

"Can you stop staring at me? I'm afraid I might melt if you continue staring. Finish your breakfast first, later you can check me out as much as you want if you accept my condition from last night," he unabashedly said.

'Shameless! The man is so shameless, very unlike her Gavin!' she thought at the back of her head. But she would not back down…

"Alright. I accept your condition," Brione answered with determination before grabbing the knife and fork to start eating.

'That was way too easy…' Cedric thought and stared at Brionne, trying to know what else she had up in her sleeve. He thought she would give him a hard time before agreeing to be with him so he was caught off-guard with the sudden change of attitude.

"Stop staring at me. I'm not your breakfast!" Brione snorted.

With an evil smirk, Cedric brazenly stated, "Who said you're not?"

Brione's jaw dropped hearing Cedric's response. How could he utter such shameless things with a fiery gaze? Brione could not maintain eye contact with him because she felt like those flames in his amber eyes would consume her soon.

'Shameless and perverted!' she wanted to retort but controlled herself since there were servants not far from them.

Cedric seemed to have read her mind as he signaled the servants to leave so they could have privacy.

After everyone left, he looked at her and teased, "What's with your irritated face? I'm being serious. I will make you my breakfast from this day onwards..."

"What?!"

"You have already agreed to my condition which was for you to become my woman. I want my woman to have breakfast with me every day If possible I want my woman to have all three meals with me every day. That's what I wanted to say a while ago.

Sorry about being blunt and saying the words in a sexual way. You see, I said that intentionally for those servants to have something to gossip about. It will help me in burying the annoying rumors circulating about me," Cedric rephrased with a mischievous grin.

Brione's face crumpled and Cedric could not help but admire the beauty of her scrunchy and wrinkled face! Everything she did was too cute in his eyes.

"Being your woman doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with me! Or that I'll do everything you like! I am my own person with independent thoughts. I have the right to make my own choices and decisions." Brione cleared out her stand.

Although she said this, she would not back down from proving that he was Gavin and in order to do that she must get close to him. Being his woman was the best way to get close to the Prince.

She knew this would affect her image and career somehow but she did not care about those things since it was related to Gavin whom she cared most about… her Gavin...
