I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World

Chapter 46 - It's Called Borrowing

The police officer just finished securing the explosion area and sealing it off when she spotted two men scavenging through a bunch of abandoned shopping bags on the ground.

After giving them a warning, she immediately stormed her way over to confront the two thieves taking advantage of the chaos to steal.

"Hands on your head where I can see them and turn around!" The female officer barked while pulling out a black object from her holster and pointing it at them.

Albion wondered what kind of dog sh*t luck he has with the police. He has not done anything, yet he was already being suspected of something.

After a quick glance into the distant rooftop where the sniper shot had come from, Albion confirmed that the sniper was gone before turning to the side to face the police officer.

At the same time, Klein Seymour raised an eyebrow and said gloomily, "It is unlawful to point your gun at an unarmed civilian, officer."

While Klein Seymour still complied with the female officer's demand, Albion did not. He simply continues to hold his shopping bags.

"Hands on your head! You two were caught committing a crime and refuse to comply with my orders. I have the right to draw my handgun for my own protection!" The female officer, Estelle said.

Albion's expression crumpled, and said, "And what kind of crime did we commit exactly?"

Nevertheless, he was still silently surprised it was the same officer he knocked out last night. Despite that, it did not seem like she recognizes him. Was it because he knocked her out too hard or because he died his hair black at the salon?

"Thievery. What else?" Estelle glared at Albion and barked, "Hands on your head! Last warning!"

"Thievery? What a joke! These clothes were bought for me. I should be asking who the heck took all my pants instead!"

Estelle silently thought that this thief was too audacious, not daring to admit his crime.

"And who would have bought these clothes for you? Don't tell me that you will say that this gentleman beside you did?"

Klein Seymour took a step forward and said in a deep tone, "That's right. Look at these brands, then look at me. Do you think someone like me lacks this bit of money?"

"Who the hell are you? Am I supposed to know you?"

Estelle was surprised.

Nevertheless, she questioned Klein Seymour while redirecting the pointed black object at him, causing him to freeze.

"You can put your hands down, Mr. Klein. She won't be hurting anyone with that toy gun of hers." Albion said calmly.

Klein Seymour was surprised before he nodded.

Shortly after, he glared at the officer and said, "You might not have seen me, but you should have at least heard of the Seymour family. I am the eldest son of Frederick Seymour, Klein Seymour."

Estelle was embarrassed that her fake replacement had been called out by Albion. However, after she heard Klein Seymour's words, it turned into sheer shock.

"You're Klein Seymour from THE Seymour family?" Estelle asked with wide eyes, take a few steps back in shock.

Of course, she would know about the Seymour family. They were one of the richest—if not the wealthiest family living in Silvercove City!

"No, I am a f*cking donkey from Old McDonald's farm—of course, I am Klein Seymour from the Seymour family! That was what I said!" Klein Seymour said, feeling annoyed by the female officer's lack of comprehension.

Albion turned to him and said, "Remember what I said about not getting along with coppers? It's because they are not very bright people. People who usually join the police force are either people with a strong sense of justice or idiots who didn't aim for a higher education degree to find a better job. It's a problem when the person falls under both categories."

"Who are you calling an idiot?!"

Estelle immediately felt so embarrassed and humiliated.

Her face was flushed crimson red as she glared at Albion. However, after a moment, she stared at Albion's face more carefully with a frown, and a trace of doubt appeared in her heart.

"You look a little familiar. Have I seen you somewhere before?" She asked.

"Online streams, perhaps? Are you a fan of mine? This isn't the right way to catch my attention, though, you know?" Albion said shamelessly with a shrug.

Estelle's face flushed harder, but she continued to glare at him intently and said, "Do you have any brothers? Twins? What is your name? I'm going to need to see some ID."

"Who knows? I wouldn't know. Albion Black is the name. I'm an orphan." Albion frowned.

"Don't you have something else to do? Instead of searching for the culprit who blew up the bakery store; here you are, across the road, troubling two ordinary civilians. Do I need to tell you what to do, or should I call your superiors?" Klein Seymour said.

Estelle wanted to press further, but hearing the mention of her superiors, she immediately shivered.

"Please don't! I'm currently on suspension! I will lose my job if my superiors find out I'm still on duty!" Estelle cried.

Considering the person claimed to be part of the Seymour family, he definitely had the powerful connection to make the call.

"Then get lost and stop troubling us!" Klein Seymour frowned. He also did not want to make it hard on the police officer.

Seeing the heavy bags under the person's eyes, he could tell that this person did not have a good sleep—or any sleep for the matter.

Despite that, the person was still trying to work on the suspension. This proves that she was at least a person with a good heart.

"Y-Yes!"

Estelle turned around and prepared to go back to watching over the area until her colleagues return.

However, Albion suddenly said, "Wait!"

"Is there anything else?" Estelle asked.

Albion placed the shopping bags down and walked up to her, causing her to retreat slightly.

"What do you want?" She asked nervously. Her arm was not fully healed yet.

Albion dusted her shoulder and said, "Oh, it's nothing. Just a bit of dirt on your shoulder. Okay, it's gone. You can go back now."

Estelle glared at the person strangely and spat, "Weirdo!"

After the female officer left, Albion went back to pick up his shopping bags and said, "Let's go buy some more pants and a phone."

"Alright."

Klein Seymour agreed.

Shortly after, they could be seen walking to the next clothing store. When Klein Seymour suddenly noticed that Albion was holding all the shopping bags in one hand and spinning a black handgun in his finger, he became shocked.

"Young Master Albion! Why did you take that and playing with it?" Klein Seymour glanced around nervously to check that no one was looking.

"Oh, don't worry. This is a fake. It's just a toy." Albion said.

Klein Seymour was a bit dumbfounded and asked, "What happened to the real one? When did you get a toy version? Wait, this looks like..."

"Oh, I returned the real one back to its owner just now. Of course, I took this fake one in exchange." Albion said while glancing at a few texts sitting inside his mind.

[Skill unlocked: Expert-level Sleight of Hand]

Klein Seymour widened his eyes with a gaping expression at Albion's words and said, "That was the police officer you stole the handgun from?! Now it feels like we were bullying her. Haiz, what a poor lass. She's a good lady, you know?"

"Hush. Keep it down, will you? What do you mean I stole? I was simply borrowing—borrowing, do you understand, Old Klein?"

Shortly after, Albion nodded and said, "But you are right. She's a good person. Nevertheless, she is annoying and not the likable kind for people like me."

He was going to kill people, and killing was a crime.. Cops would try to capture him regardless of whether he was killing good or bad people.
