I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World

Chapter 25 - The Proposition

Although the interdimensional creatures all possess the same silicon-like body and running binary numbers, their forms varied.

Some were humanoid, some were animalistic, some were a variation of both, and some were just straight up monstrous or alienated.

Albion was intrigued by their forms.

"Young Master Albion, I have a favor to ask of you." Klein Seymour interrupted Albion inspection with a request.

"What is it?"

Albion casually asked.

"I hope you can get rid of all these interdimensional creatures for us. If the government finds out about these interdimensional creatures, not only would my crew be executed, even my father's Seymour Fishing Corporation will be implicated."

"Captain!"

The crew wanted to object to such a decision, but Klein Seymour gestured for their silence with one hand.

"Oh? Are you sure you want to give all these interdimensional creatures to me? That seems more like doing me a favor than asking me for a favor, no?" Albion asked with an intrigued expression, not in a hurry to accept.

Klein Seymour smiled ruefully and said, "You saved our lives by finishing off all those gangsters. It is only right that all these interdimensional creatures belong to you. I only hope that Young Master Albion will protect us from the wrath of the Bloodmoon Gang and tide us through the difficult time that is to come."

"Rather than placing your hopes on me, why not take these interdimensional creatures for yourself? Are you not interested in protecting your father's corporation with your own hands? If you don't mind satisfying my curiosity, Mr. Klein, I've been quite curious why the chairman's son is only the captain of one of their fishing ships?" Albion asked.

"First of all, Young Master Albion is a high-level Hunter. If you want these interdimensional creatures, we can only concede and abide by your wish. Secondly, we might not become strong enough even if we collect all the EXP from these interdimensional creatures. Thus, there is a higher chance of survival if we depend on you."

Klein Seymour sighed before continuing, "As for why I am a captain despite being the chairman's son, it is because I am not the only son. Although I am the eldest son, I do not possess the business mind and talents like my young brother. He is ambitious and hopes to succeed our father's position one day. I did not want him to view his elder brother as an obstacle, so I became a captain, not only for that but because I also love the sea."

"I can see where you are getting, but you need to understand this; I can protect you once, but not forever. Only by becoming strong will you have the strength to protect your family's wealth."

Albion understood this more than anyone else. The world belonged to the strong. The Seymour Fishing Corporation might have great wealth, but without the strength to protect it, they will only continue to be prey in the eyes of others.

"This…"

Klein Seymour hesitated.

He was a man of principle and understood that kindness must be reciprocated. He did not want to take advantage of Albion.

Albion saw this and offered, "How about this; I have another proposition to make that will allow us both to benefit. Let us say that these interdimensional creatures all belong to me. It would mean that I will have what you need—but you also have something that I need."

"What do I have that you need?" Klein asked with a taken aback expression.

"Yes, money and identity. I am sure that with your family's big corporation's status and connection, it should not be too difficult to satisfy both of these for me in exchange for the interdimensional creatures on my hand, right? On top of that, we will also be friends, and I will help you eliminate the threat that is the Bloodmoon Gang. How about it?" Albion said.

He believed that Klein Seymour was a person worth befriending.

Someone willing to relinquish his inheritance rights to his younger brother is definitely trustworthy. At the very least, he would not have to worry about this person stabbing him in the back for material gains.

"Accept it, captain. This is definitely a good deal!"

"That's right, captain. This is the best for both sides!"

The crew inputted their opinions.

"But…"

Klein Seymour furrowed with some concerns.

"You do not need to worry about whether this is a loss on my end. We do not need to be so calculating as friends. Besides, the EXP gained from these interdimensional creatures are of little interest to me." Albion stated truthfully.

He was not lying.

The little bit of power gained from increasing his hunter level is incomparable to lifting the seal on his cultivation. He only needed a powerful matching soul to use the god-like power of the True Immortal stage.

The system had not mentioned it, but the 300 units of Divine Energy expended was used to form a special lock to seal his cultivation. Although the system might have taken some Divine Energy out of the total as collateral for the service, the special lock ultimately belonged to him.

It was like having a locked treasure chest while he was the key to it. He could unseal the lock but also reseal it whenever he needs to.

In other words, he can go super sai—ahem, he can enter the True Immortal stage at any time.

"Since Young Master Albion regards me as a friend, then it will be rude to not accept. I will remember this favor." Klein Seymour nodded, "I do know some people who can help forge an identity for you. As for the money, how much is the Young Master Albion looking at?"

"Enough for me to find a place to settle down with money to spare for daily expenses and necessities, as you can see." Albion gestured towards the coat wrapped around his lower body. He was in dire need of new clothes.

"If it is only this much, I will not have to bother my father. I can take the money out of my personal savings." Klein Seymour pondered.

He was very much surprised that Albion did not demand a sky-high price, given the value of interdimensional creatures. Nevertheless, he took it as a gesture of Young Master Albion's goodwill for the beginning of their friendship.

"As for a place to settle down, I have a private mansion on Skylark Hills. It's part of a gated residential community and can be a little remote, but I wonder if Young Master Albion will be interested?" Klein Seymour asked.

Albion appeared to be deeply contemplating as he mumbled, "A private mansion within a gated community? A little remote? Sounds like it will be free of visitors and telemarketers. Isn't this perfect for my new shut-in life?"

"Excuse me?"

Klein Seymour thought he had misheard.

Someone as powerful as Young Master Albion wanted to live a shut-in life? He felt a bit dizzy just thinking about it. Someone this powerful is also unambitious like him? My kindred spirit!

Albion cleared his throat with a cough and accepted, "Ahem, no, it's nothing.. I'll take it."
