Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

28 Return Of Gugnir

“You can enter the room now.” A nurse came out of the room as Zack entered the room and saw his sister lying on a bed.

“It was a success as we expected.” She said with a small smile as the black-haired teenager smiled too. His main goal that he had since the time he had reincarnated was now fulfilled.

But he had a greater burden on his shoulders now though if he didn’t save the world, it was likely that he and Mia would die too.

There was no knowing what would happen at this point so the only thing the teenager could do was celebrate the moment he had been working hard for.

And looking at his sister’s smile, he knew that things would be good.

“Now that I am healed, what are we going to do next?” The black-haired girl asked as Zack smiled and told her the surprise he had been holding on to.

“We will be starting our own tech company that will cure diseases. And the best thing? We are backed by the CEO of Doogle.”

For a moment, Mia felt as though he brother was playing a prank on her but when she looked at his serious face, she realized that he was not kidding.

“But how?” She asked with a slightly open mouth as she tried to wonder how in the world did Zack, someone who couldn’t differentiate between an MRI, ultrasound, and CT scan, got such a thing done with Doogle.

Even though the machines were no longer used for such things, they still played an important role when one had to go ahead and build medical technology.

“I just got that added in the contract and by the way, you are the CEO.”

“I am the fucking CEO?!” Her slightly open mouth was now wide enough to fit two entire burgers inside it. “I don’t even have a good degree and you expect me to do such things?”

“Don’t worry, we will start making things after you get to know enough. Till then, I will handle the money through currency exchange. You just focus on your studies, or if there is anything else you want to do, you can do that.” Zack replied as his sister seemed to calm down a little.

She now had a new kind of determination to move ahead so for the time being, she would just rest for a week before starting to get her degree.

Zack then went back to their new house, which was a few minutes’ walk away. After entering his room, which was on the top floor of the mansion, and faced the pool, he crashed down on the bed.

He then started remembering everything that Kai had told him and realized that the entire world didn’t know about so many things.

‘What about the game developers though?’ If the game developers had created Hikari, had they been aware of what they were doing?

Or perhaps, they were just the gods who had disguised themselves as game developers.

But regardless of that, Zack knew that he would have to continue playing Hikari.

He then grabbed the VR glasses that were placed on a small table beside his bed and wore them.

“It feels good to be back here.” The white-haired boy muttered as he looked at the cave in front of him.

The cave was one of the dungeons where he had logged out last time and though logging out in the wild was definitely a stupid move, Zack had known that no one would be able to find the location.

After all, you needed to be level 20 to find the place.

[ Echo Bat Dungeon ]

[ Loot: common items, uncommon items, rare items, alchemy and potion ingredients, skill books. ]

Zack was at the dungeon because of two reasons. One was to gather enough in-game currency and the second was to gain a skill book while hoping to get something that he could sell further.

The currency exchange had changed from his previous life and it had actually increased and gave more money in exchange.

[ 1 bronze coin = 10 dollar

1 silver coin = 100 dollars

1 gold coin = 1000 dollars ]

That was the current currency exchange that showed up when a player went to check his or her money. There were special banks all over Hikari from where you could convert the money into dollars and send it to your bank account.

Though it was self-operable and you could use it to transfer any amount you wanted at any time, be it ten dollars or ten million dollars.

[ Gold coins = 453

Silver coins = 1002

Bronze coins = 3425 ]

Zack hadn’t bothered to check his money from the start. But after calculating, the white-haired boy found out that he had 587k dollars.

This money alone was worth a lot but due to inflation, things had become costlier. If a bar of chocolate used to cost one dollar in the past, the same thing was now sold at ten dollars.

But despite that, the money he had was enough to sustain a family of four for two to three months.

He and his sister could live on this money for quite a large amount of time but since they were living in Doogle mansions, they didn’t need to pay for such stuff.

They just had to pay maintenance and medical fees otherwise, everything was free.

‘Let’s see what are the things that I can sell.’ Zack then opened his inventory and paused.

In one of the columns was a bright blue icon shining brightly. The latter looked around to make sure that he was inside the game and the scenery guaranteed that he was inside the game.

But how was Gugnir in his inventory then?

The white-haired boy clicked on the icon as the lance appeared in front of him.

[ Gugnir (myth): The lance of Kai, the god of timelines. Myths say that it can control timelines.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ Skills:

Energy blasts: 5 energy blasts can be shot from the tip of the lance.

Cooldown: 5 minutes

Rewind Timeline (Self): Can be used to return your body to a condition in the previous save spot. Body will return to that state of time.

– Can only be used once a week.

Other features are locked. ]

The lance was completely different from what Zack had remembered. It now looked like a real myth-grade weapon with its new details and skills.

However, there was only one way by which he could test its usability.

And a dungeon was the perfect place for that.
