Game Lord's Cultivation System

“You’re the best aunt,” Jiang Ming smiled as he kissed her on the lips.

He knew she would allow him in the end as long as he pestered her.

“Hmph, if you dare to come back full of injuries then you’re going to get it,” Yang Liqin hissed as she pushed him away.

Afterward, she left the Moon Bazaar with Hong Ling in a teary expression.

“M-Madam, are you okay?” Hong Ling asked in concern as they sat in their carriage.

“How could I be okay?” Yang Liqin rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms. “Jiang Ming is risking his life for our safety and I want to go with him as well.”

“But my current condition would only be a burden for him.”

Hong Ling retrieved a cloth out and gave it to Yang Liqin.

Yang Liqin smiled bitterly as she grabbed it and wiped some tears away.

“Madam, you should believe in Jiang Ming.” Hong Ling suddenly said. “Jiang Ming had never done something when he didn’t have confidence in it.”

“Maybe you’re right since I still look at Jiang Ming in the past- a past where he was cowardly and would never ask something as outrageous as exploring the Haze Forest.”

Yang Liqin then glanced outside the streets, making sure that it was an unfamiliar street..

She wouldn’t have believed there would be a day that she could step foot in the Central District due to Jiang Ming’s influence if she didn’t see it with her own eyes.

Their journey was silent as they thought about what to pack up for Jiang Ming in his adventure.

Meanwhile, Jiang Ming stayed in the Moon Bazaar and began preparing the next steps for Moon Bazaar.

He spent the next few hours planning and writing down the suitable people for collaboration.

“Alright, this should be good enough to last for a week or so.” Jiang Ming placed his pen down.

The papers were stacked and it was full of information but Jiang Ming had confidence that Yang Liqin should be able to handle this.

<Automatic Refinement had been completed>

<Spiritual Elementary Advancement Pill: 28>

<Spiritual Lord Advancement Pill: 10>

__

Jiang Ming curled his lips upward when the timing couldn’t be any more perfect.

Although a bit disappointed about the amount he managed to obtain for the Spiritual Lord Advancement Pill, Jiang Ming could only make do with this amount.

Jiang Ming stored all the newly refined pills in his storage ring and began refining some more pills manually.

The herbs from the Moon Bazaar were enough for Jiang Ming to refine pills that would prepare him for any type of situation in the Haze Forest.

Sometime later, Jiang Ming stepped out of the Moon Bazaar as he started walking home alone.

‘I know aunt hated my decision but she could have at least brought the carriage back.’ Jiang Ming smiled bitterly.

Ding!

<Bloodlust detected nearby>

__

Jiang Ming narrowed his eyes as he quickly opened his map to check the surroundings.

‘They really don’t wait around.’ Jiang Ming sneered inwardly when he saw multiple red dots approaching his location swiftly.

Jiang Ming retrieved a pill and consumed it. Afterward, he started retreating to a far corner, running away from his pursuer.

As soon as Jiang Ming retreated in an opposite direction, the red dots changed direction as well and were right in his tail.

Jiang Ming had his eyes on the map the entire time as he avoided meeting them head-on.

“System, can you determine the enemy’s cultivation rank based on my data?” Jiang Ming asked as he changed direction again.

Ding!

<Initializing Data. . .>

<Estimated Enemies Cultivation Rank: 7th Spiritual Elementary>

__

Jiang Ming raised an eyebrow at the level his enemies are at. Although he could easily annihilate them, Jiang Ming didn’t wish to miss information about who sent them.

Ding!

<Does Player Jiang Ming wish to utilize the powerful function?>

Jiang Ming was confused by the sudden prompt. Nevertheless, Jiang Ming smiled and answered yes.

<According to the System’s investigation, the enemies are most likely sent by Luo Geming>

“Have I ever said how much I loved you, Game Lord’s Cultivation System?” Jiang Ming grinned as he stopped moving.

His expression turned vicious as he stretched his body slowly and waited for the enemies to approach.

The red dots in the map started to surround Jiang Ming.

“I thought you would keep running, brat.”

“Did you run out of stamina and give up?”

“Haha, who told him to be arrogant and disrespectful.”

The enemies sneered as they laughed at Jiang Ming. They believed Jiang Ming had run out of spiritual qi and knew there was no point in escaping anymore.

“Aren’t you people afraid of offending the emperor?” Jiang Ming suddenly said as he crossed his arms.

“Afraid? Haha, a brat like you who doesn’t know the cultivation world. As long as we eliminate you quietly, how would the emperor know?”

“Hmm, I see, then I must really praise Luo Geming to be able to pay such a hefty sum to get you to assassinate me.” Jiang Ming then clapped his hand.

The enemy wanted to laugh at Jiang Ming’s last struggle until they heard him uttering ‘Luo Geming’ name.

They staggered briefly before recomposing himself but this was enough for Jiang Ming to confirm the truth.

The system was truly powerful to be able to determine the enemies right away in a snap of a finger.

“Damn it, kill this brat quickly.” The enemy shouted as they all rushed toward Jiang Ming with their daggers coated in poison.

Jiang Ming smirked as he glared at them. “Did you really think I was running away from you?”

Jiang Ming slowly reached his hand out as he made an evil grin. “No, I was baiting you here so that I can kill you off cleanly without anyone noticing.”

Jiang Ming then clenched his hand into a fist and the ground beneath him started glowing brightly, shocking the enemies when they realized it was a formation.
