Game Lord's Cultivation System

17 Mission #28

<Player Jiang Ming has completed the requirement to use the system>

The pop-up appeared in front of Jiang Ming’s face as he was shocked into disbelief.

“S-System?”

Jiang Ming mumbled softly before realizing the interface of the system was the same as the one in Cultivation Omega.

‘What basic requirement? How come I only get the system interface now?’ Jiang Ming pondered inwardly as he decided to test things out.

‘Open character status,’ Jiang Ming said inwardly and the system notification changes and displays his current status.

Name: Jiang Ming

Cultivation: Third Level Spiritual Elementary

Title: Game Lord

Physique: Divinity Flame Body

Bloodline: None.

Weapon: None

Technique: None

Jiang Ming glanced at his character status and twitched his mouth slightly as his character status was basically a complete newbie.

His character status was a disappointment that Jiang Ming didn’t even bothered with his current title.

“What kind of crappy status is this? T-This original Jiang Ming… can you not be any more trash?”

Jiang Ming cursed aloud, causing the crowd to stare at him with a disgusted expression as he seemed out of place in the Central District.

However, Jiang Ming had no intention of caring about the crowd as he tried to use other features that were available in Cultivation Omega.

‘Open Map’

‘Open Inventory’

Alas, other than the character status, there was no other interface or option for Jiang Ming to scroll through.

Jiang Ming could only grit his teeth in frustration as the system notification kept displaying the same sentence whenever he tried to access something else.

<Player Jiang Ming has not met the requirement of using advanced features>

“This system is clearly broken for not recognizing the great me, the top number one player in Cultivation Omega. How could you even dare to exclaim that I’m not eligible to meet the requirement?” Jiang Ming’s emotions continued to fluctuate as he couldn’t understand anymore.

Shortly after, Jiang Ming calmed his emotion as being agitated does not solve any problems.

Worse, it will only delay things further so Jiang Ming decided to interact with the System slowly.

With a calm and gentle tone, Jiang Ming said, “Open Quest Menu.”

<Initializing the request from Player Jiang Ming to access Quest Menu>

<….>

<Ding! Player Jiang Ming has gained access to the Quest Menu>

‘Yes, thank god the quest menu still worked perfectly.’ Jiang Ming exclaimed happily.

The quests in the menu are completely optional for the player to accomplish and there is no penalty if you just leave it alone.

However, completing a quest in the menu means that you could get some reward and the reward varies depending on the quest difficulty.

The system soon changed its display and revealed a list of quests for Jiang Ming to review.

<Mission 1: Defeat three Fourth Level Spiritual Elementary magical beasts!>

Reward: Gain 3,000 spiritual qi and 2 spirit stones!

_______

<Mission 2: Defeat two Sixth Level Spiritual Elementary magical beasts!>

Reward: Gain 7,500 spiritual qi and 10 spirit stones!

______

Jiang Ming kept scrolling through the list of quests as he continued to search for a specific quest and reward.

Sometime later, Jiang Ming finally stopped scrolling as he glared at one specific mission in the Quest Menu.

“This is the one! Heh, this mission was supposedly the hardest mission for a beginner to complete and only 1,000 players out of the many millions of players were able to fulfill the mission.”

Jiang Ming smirked as he remembered how many hours it took him to complete this difficult mission and the reason it catapulted him to become the top number one with many companies trying to sign him with an exclusive contract.

The mission in this one could be considered as the ultimate cheat since the rewards being labeled were unknown and not many are willing to waste their time on it.

After all, those 999 players that completed the mission by grinding without sleeping at all only got a single spirit stone as a reward.

They were completely flabbergasted at this ridiculous reward when they compared it with the amount of tedious work they needed to do.

Thus, it created a worldwide commotion with these 999 players complaining to the game creator and posting in the game forum.

With those 999 players confirming their identity and proving their credentials, players who bought Cultivation Omega never touched this particular mission at all since it was deemed a scam.

A scam that they will never receive anything special except for that last person.

‘Ai, those were the golden days since only I knew the truth behind the mission. After all, this mission was meant for one person only and it’s whoever completed the fastest.’

Jiang Ming smiled inwardly as he glanced at Madam Yang in his shoulder who was sleeping calmly.

Afterward, Jiang Ming combed Madam Yang’s hair lightly with his hand as he stared at the Mission in the interface.

‘Accept Mission #28’ Jiang Ming exclaimed inwardly.

<Mission 28: Collect multiple rare materials and create a weapon that is deemed worthy by the system>

Reward: Unknown

______

<System has received Player Jiang Ming’s request and Mission #28 is added in the Quest under Character Status>

Jiang Ming closed the system interface after making sure the quest is under his character status with a smile hanging on his face.

‘It took me seven months to complete this mission but this time, I’m different from my beginner year.’

Jiang Ming smirked inwardly as he hugged Madam Yang by the arm and lifted her up as he sensed Hong Ling coming back with a middle-aged man.

“Maste- Jiang Ming, I’ve returned with an experienced man in the merchant industry, Old Wang.” Hong Ling ran toward Jiang Ming as she hurriedly introduced the person to him.

Although she was confused about why Jiang Ming was carrying Madam Yang, she didn’t dare to question him in public.

Meanwhile, Jiang Ming glanced at Old Wang briefly before nodding his head.

“Then I shall thank Old Wang in advance for bringing us to a suitable house.” Jiang Ming said politely as Old Wang proceeded to turn around and walk toward their destination.
