Fate Online: Shadow

Almost an hour later.

Michael is already on the road after a round of intense workout with Amanda and dropping her off at her place.

It must have been so satisfying because Michael's face is all smiles and glowing with vigor.

"She was so wild earlier, she must have been really holding back a lot" Michael said with a smirk as he could feel the sensations of her body in his hands.

Michael couldn't wipe the smile on his face as scenes from earlier kept popping up inside his head.

"I sure am gonna miss a lot these coming couple of days" Michael mumbled as he was slightly stuck in traffic.

Almost an hour later, Michael finally reached his destination.

He drove through their schoolgate that's filled with students going to and fro with their business and arrived at the parking lot where his classmates were already waiting for the rest of them beside a bus.

"Michael's here!" Lisa said as her eyes lit up when she saw the familiar car alighting towards them, making her release a sigh of relief.

"And here I thought he's not coming" Maine added with relief, but those men who were grouped up with them showed various expressions ranging from disappointment to anger with Michael's timely appearance.

Michael alighted his car near one of the buses before getting off.

"Michael! Good thing you're finally here!" said a guy wearing a pair of glasses as he ran towards Michael with a relieved look on his face, making Michael raise an eyebrow in confusion as he didn't know what made the student before him this excited and relieved from seeing him.

"What's up, Brandon? What's happening?" Michael asked, a little curious what was happening that made this new friend of his like this

"It's the girls and Chad, you know…" Brandon said without elaborating as his eyes quickly glanced behind him.

Michael saw that and quickly realized the deeper meaning behind the man's words.

"They're still trying to hit on Lisa and Maine?" Michael said with a laugh as he slowly walked to the back of his car and started unloading his things along with Brandon who quickly helped in a flustered manner.

"Yeah, I really wonder what luck they had gotten to be grouped up with the rest of us," Brandon said, sounding a little frustrated.

Michael on the other hand, just smirked as he knew this guy likes Lisa, and with Chad and his group trying to hit on them, it made Brandon despise the latter.

But Michael doesn't have any thought of interfering with them, and at the same time, he actually didn't expect that he'd actually meet such a cliche character such as Brandon a few days ago.

Brandon is one of those guys who likes to do nerdy stuff, and most importantly of all, he's quite the skilled hacker when Michael accidentally discovered him hacking into the database of their library.

Which is weird for all reasons, as someone with his skills would have instead hacked their school's database to steal information like answers on their upcoming exams, dirty secrets of the school etc.

Obviously, Brandon did just that and got away scot free, but he only had one problem regarding that. There was someone who knows, and it was Michael.

So long story short, he started following Michael around because of it, along with the motive of getting close to Lisa.

So unknowingly, the poor guy boarded a pirate ship he wouldn't be easily able to get off of, for obvious reasons that it is helmed by one of the most dangerous people on the planet!

"Anyway, where's the professor and why are we still not leaving?" Michael asked as he knew he was running late when he arrived, and while saying those words, he noticed Maine and Lisa slowly walking over towards them after they had packed their own luggages on the bus compartment.

Brandon thought for a moment and said, "Some students are still running late and stuck in traffic, so the professor gave an additional fifteen minutes to wait for the rest, and after that, we'll leave whether they're here or not"

Then he flinched when he noticed two of the school hot girls walking over and quickly started fixing his shirt and tried to play it cool while taking out the remaining luggage from the car.

"And here we thought you really weren't coming, but we're glad that you're here because we wouldn't have to stand the constant annoyance from Chad and his goons" Maine said the moment the two girls arrived before the two guys.

"Exactly! Gosh, they are so immature!" Lisa added with arms crossed, looking really annoyed.

Michael just smiled and thought, 'You two are really not in the position to be telling other people that they are immature'

With the brief time they had known each other, Michael would sometimes feel really old hanging out with them, especially when it comes to things that are called trending and whatnot.

But one good thing is that they also play Fate Online like many others, which would certainly keep a conversation on and on for a long time as there's a lot of things to talk about if it comes to the game.

"Anyway, can you two help us with my things?"

In the end, Michael didn't want to dwell on the topic and instead asked them to help him with his things as a means to divert their attention from Chad and the others.

"Sure thing, but wow, you really brought a lot didn't you?"

Maine said as she took one of the four luggages that Michael brought, with Lisa taking the remaining one.

"Of course, I've brought a lot of canned food, ramen, and a few ready to eat meals. What about you guys, did you bring pork and beef?" Michael said as the group reached the side of their bus and started loading the luggages to where the other people in their group had put theirs.

"Yeah, I brought three kilograms of pork" Maine replied as she and Lisa lifted the luggage together to the compartment.

"I brought two kilos of beef and a few vegetables," Lisa added.

"That's good, I think our group brought the most, didn't we?" Michael was delighted after hearing that they did bring the things that they agreed upon.

"Yeah, I also brought a portable burner and the things you asked" Brandon also added as he didn't want to feel left out.

On the other hand, Chad and his friends are looking at Michael with unfriendly eyes as they chattered among themselves in hushed tones.

"And here I thought he wouldn't be coming, he continuously talked about not coming on the MT, but his actions right now speaks otherwise" Chad said with a snort, and especially seeing the girls talking and laughing with Michael made him uncomfortable inside as he had already considered them as his.

Talk about someone treating women like they're things, treating them like he now owns them just because he desires them would certainly make Michael despise them more.

"Shall we find some trouble with him when we reach our destination later?" One of his friends said after some little hesitation, and he became a little bolder at the end of his words when he saw the others agreeing with him as they nodded their heads.

"Well, if you want to get beaten up again, be my guest" Chad said as he reminded them of what happened before when they tried to bully Michael, but ended up getting a beating instead.

"F*ck, and I'm still getting nightmares from it. Just how the heck could that guy even fight like that?" One of them said with fear in his voice, as he used his left hand to conceal the trembling of his right hand.

"Yeah, that guy's a monster, even Chad who had been training in mixed martials arts for the longest time among us and even participated in the Fighting Tournaments wasn't able to handle him"

"Exactly, all of us here had been to many brawls and even participated in a few amateur fights, but we can't even land a f*cking single hit on him! It was the most embarrassing thing that happened to my life!"

"Tsk! Stop talking about what happened. Just remembering it is making my stomach sick" Chad quickly reprimanded them as he was also feeling angered and humiliated about what Michael did to them before, as it became a slap to their face.

They were about to continue on with their conversation when the others that they were waiting for finally appeared during the last minute, and the miraculous thing was that their professor also appeared at the same time like he had already predicted it.

"Everyone is here! Board the bus! Chop chop, we're already running behind schedule!"

Chad and his friends gave one final look at Michael before they boarded the bus, followed by Michael and the rest, who just smiled at their silly hostilities directed towards him.

'College life, how fun'

Michael and the others sat on the middle row while Chad and his friends sat at the furthest back, where it gives them the whole view of the bus.

Not before long, two buses slowly drove out of the gates of Central University as they headed towards their destination.

Michae looked at the passing scenery on the window and thought, 'I'd rather be playing the game than going on this trip. If only the professor didn't threaten that he would give a failing mark on the students that won't be attending'

'So I'll enjoy it to the fullest. I just hope that my expectations wouldn't slap me when we arrive'

Three hours later, Michael and the rest of the students were attending before their first destination.
