Chapter 35: Him?

When Liza said those words, it seemed all the teachers around turned unhappy and disappointed, but still stepped a meter back without hesitation.

The woman when saw that Liza chose her, smiled gently and nodded with satisfaction.

“My name is Jane Li.”, said Jane with a stringent face, and without saying anything else, she walked to the side too.

“Strict…”, thought Khal, but to his surprise, Liza didn’t look surprised at all and followed her teacher from behind in silence.

Now four teachers were standing on the left with each having their student, while the remaining four stood on the left without any.

Jas seeing this glanced at Khal and smiled, while saying, “It’s your turn kid.”

Khal knowing that it was his turn nodded and moved. As he walked toward the still closed door, he felt as all the eyes fell on his body, but ignored them all.

He didn’t really feel any pressure at all even when all the teachers peeked at him like some kind of extraordinary animal.

However, what he didn’t know that the reason why everyone looked at him with such intensity wasn’t that he was the last one with the key, but because of his presence.

While everyone was able to tell that Liza had Natural Born Talent or how strong Andre, Noa, or Ella was, this time they looked incredibly shocked as they watched Khal.

“Why can’t I feel any presence or Talent in him? Is he Talentless?”, asked Raffin with a deep frown.

“That can’t be. The principal wouldn’t let a Talentless brat inside Moon Academy.”, answered Jane coldly and continued, “He must have a way to hide his presence, but I don’t know-how. Even if it’s a secret art or skill, we must at least feel that he has Talent. But, no matter how I look at it, I don’t feel any. Strange…”

Scarlett, Robern, and the remaining 4 teachers looking at Khal thought the same and looked confused too.

They were experts with great past, so they lived enough to meet with all kinds of strange and mysterious things. However, the current sight before all of them was the very first time.

Jas seeing everyones’ confusion looked satisfied, but seeing that Khal was about to put his palm on the door, he started to talk.

“Unfortunately, there are no more teachers behind that door. So from now on, anyone who comes up needs to wait for an instructor to choose him or her. If there is more than one teacher who wants a student, then it is up to the student to choose their mentor.”

Hearing this Khal nodded and stepped a meter back, waiting for the teachers to choose him.

“Which one will it be?”, thought Khal calmly, waiting in silence to be chosen.

However, even after seconds have passed in silence, Khal started to realize that none of the teachers present wanted him, making his body start to stiffen unconsciously.

Even Liza behind Jane looked a bit anxious, knowing that if no one chose Khal, it meant he will be unable to enroll in Moon Academy in the future.

However, the people behind Khal seeing this turned thrilled. Seeing that no expert wanted him, made the crowd to turn loud by murmurs and whispers.

Everyone was excited that they will be able to see the very first one to fail the test. Especially because the one who was on the verge of failing was someone who had one of the powerful V.I.P keys.

If Khal failed and needed to leave Moon Academy, then the key would automatically fell upon someone else. This meant great news to everyone present.

Even Alde amongst crowed started to smile mockingly, hardly able to resist the urge to laugh out loud.

Jas seeing this looked surprised and started to look disappointed by the fact that he needed to send Khal away, but before he could have said anything, suddenly the mansion’s gate burst wide open.

*BAM!*

“!”

Hearing the loud sound, everyone turned their heads toward the gate, only to see a man calmly walking out of the mansion.

While the crowd turned confused by this until then the teachers’ faces looked incredibly shocked the moment they recognized the person who appeared unexpectedly.

The only one who didn’t look shocked or stunned was however Jas. He just simply smiled and sighed with relief, while talking calmly to himself.

“So he finally decided to choose a student. Just as unexpected as ever.”

However, Scarlett who looked all the time unfazed until this very moment suddenly widened her eyes and asked a bit loudly, “H-Him?! What?”

Ignoring what happened around him, Khal relaxed his body and started to examine the man before him.

The man was wearing black shorts and a blue shirt, which looked a bit tight on his body. On his feet, Khal saw flip flops with the same color as his shirt, while on his dark black hair, a modern-looking black sunglass could be noticed.

Looking at the man who looked like someone who just came from the beach, Khal and everyone else turned dead silent.

“Is he even a teacher? Also, what the hell is that appearance? It looks… Strange.”

“Well, he has a great build even though he has a weird appearance, no?”

“Now that you say it, he is kind of handsome too…”

As people talked among each other in a lowered voice, until then the man finally arrived before Khal and started to look at him in silence.

Feeling the man’s scanning gaze on him as he was inspected from top to bottom, Khal stood still and waited calmly.

A few seconds later, the man hummed slightly and after looking into Khal’s eyes, he pointed at Scarlett on the side and asked calmly, “What do you think about her?”

“!?”

Listening to this unexpected question, everyone turned confused instantly, while Scarlett’s expression turned ice-cold.

Khal felt that the question was quite odd too, so he frowned slightly and asked, “Why is that important? Is my answer even relevant?”

“Yes. Very.”, nodded the man as he continued to look at Khal calmly.

Listening to this, Khal’s frown became a level deeper but still glanced at Scarlett. Watching her attractive and seductive figure which could make any men go crazy, Khal started to think for a while and replied with a shrug.

“Except her strength, nothing special at all… I guess?”

“…”

Immediately, the whole place became so silent that a guy’s quiet sneeze became as loud as thunder, but because of the level of shock, everyone ignored it.

Only after a small while later did the crowd come back to reality and started to become crazy.

“Did… Did he say nothing special at all?! Did I hear that wrong?”

“I… I will go insane! I will kill him! How dare he!?”

“Nothing special? Your mother was nothing special!”

Even Liza turned speechless by Khal’s arrogant statement and wanted to chuckle, but the instant she noticed Scarlett’s darkened expression, she decided not to.

She feared that doing or moving right now could make this mysterious woman before her to explode like a volcano.

On the other hand, the man before Khal started to smile like crazy and put his palm on Khal’s shoulder.

“Haha! What boldness! Haha! Great, great! That’s exactly what I need!”

As the man said this he calmed down and put his hand out, and while waiting for Khal to shake his hand, he said, “You are an interesting one kid! By the way, I’m Logan. From now on, I will be your mentor!”

Closing his eyes into a shape similar to a crescent moon, Logan grinned widely and said, “I will make a great Cultivator out of you for sure!”
