Cathulhu Online, MUNYA!

165 Cat Dad’s Retainer is a Stud

Chapter 165 – Cat Dad’s Retainer is a Stud

Xiaomao raised his brows. Although he indeed infiltrated the castle and the palace, no one really saw his face and name. Thus, Xiaomao doubted that the emperor was confident in this information.

“Why should I infiltrate here, munya? Are you hoarding cat food that I didn’t know?”

Xiaomao chose a playful approach. He smiled and stuck out the tip of his tongue, using a cat’s charm.

Yuan Shaoqing stared into Xiaomao’s eyes. He then glanced at his aide next to him.

“Is that info accurate?”

Xiaomao also looked at the middle-aged man behind the emperor. He was a man in a Daoist robe, who seemed to be a cultivator.

Tian Feng, Beast Tamer Taoist, Adviser of Yuan Emperor, Level 1,500

Another super boss was here. Fortunately, he didn’t appear to be Nian or Pangu’s underling, judging from his title.

Tian Feng snickered and whispered to the emperor, but Xiaomao could hear it.

“The head maid said that the information came from Tamer Knight Wally Yellow.”

“Didn’t that idiot’s dogs mess up the search last night?”

“That’s true. Maybe he’s trying to redeem himself by framing this cat. Look at him carefully, your majesty. His name has a red border. He’s a criminal.”

“Hmm.”

Xiaomao rolled his eyes. He finally figured out who had messed up with him.

‘Wally, oh, Wally. I was thinking about how to kill you before you become a true dragon tamer, but you’re asking for it. You’re on my kill list, boy!’

While planning a murder, Xiaomao maintained his cute cat face and smiled. He also secretly checked the refined entity crystal’s item description, wondering when his karma would reset.

.

Refined Entity Crystal

In this universe, nobody is an entity but a subject to god. If the god wants to, he can erase your existence on a whim. Your life, luck, and destiny are controlled by him. In short, you’re nothing but a fish in a fish tank, whose life is at the mercy of the god.

Entity Crystals are the bane of god’s authority. By keeping this with you, you will not be tied by the karma of the creator, and you can steal luck from the gods.

Item Type: Evolution Material

Rarity: Ultra-Rare

Effect: By keeping Refined Entity Crystal in your inventory, you will obtain the following effects;

– Immunity to all curses.

– Automatically purify and remove abnormal status effects on self and equipment.

– Every day, reset all negative and positive karma to zero. For every 100 points of negative and positive karma changed, increase your LUCK by 1.

NOTE: You cannot keep this item in your premium backpack, warehouse, or store inventory. This item is guaranteed to drop from your body if you died.

*[Cathulhu Instinct]: Because your karma is hidden, this item cannot automatically activate. You must do it yourself.

.

This item was the most useful one among all evolution material as it could remove curses and reset his karma. Unfortunately, it didn’t tell him when it would calculate the daily karma and increase his LUCK.

As Xiaomao checked the item, he noticed that there was a flashing button on the bottom of the item description. It seemed that he had to manually activate it.

‘I’m an idiot. It has been over a day since I last used this!’

Xiaomao pressed the button right away.

DING

<Your negative karma and positive karma have been reset. Your LUCK has permanently increased by 1,000!>

<You are no longer a criminal.>

The cat inwardly laughed as he enjoyed seeing the negative karma from Taotie’s incident disappear.

FLASH

At the same moment, Xiaomao’s golden name got brighter, and the red border vanished.

“Hmm?”

Tian Feng, Yuan Shaoqing, and people in the throne room noticed the flashing light on Xiaomao’s name. They witnessed the change in real time.

The emperor smirked and pinched Xiaomao’s cheek, “Cheeky cat. What did you do? How did you remove your negative karma?”

Xiaomao maintained his smiley face, “Maybe, it was a misunderstanding, munya?”

“But my agents told me that you unsealed Taotie the night before.”

“That’s probably a misunderstanding, munya. The big monster ordered me to bring him food at night, so I did, munya. But when he ate enough, he suddenly transformed and let loose right in front of everybody, munya!”

The emperor didn’t believe in Xiaomao as there were multiple reports of Xiaomao’s sighting in the Pangu Church’s back garden.

Still, Xiaomao’s level and strength were too weak to influence the seal array and the curses on Taotie. Yuan Shaoqing couldn’t believe in the priests and the cultists’ claims 100%. After all, they and Xiaomao were enemies.

The emperor found the situation amusing. He leaned back to his throne.

“Once my sister returns, I’ll ask for her opinion regarding the incident. Let’s put this matter on hold for now. I have several things to ask you, damn cat.”

“Yes, munya?”

Suddenly, Yuan Shaoqing’s physique changed. His fat body got thinner and leaner while his face was no longer as fat or disgusting. The fat emperor transformed into a Chad Emperor, whose toned muscle, face, and height were comparable to modern male models.

In addition, his name, level, and modifiers also changed.

Great Noble Emperor Yuan Shaoqing, the Conqueror of Aves Continent, Level 1,750

Xiaomao’s three eyes almost jumped out of their sockets. The weak emperor actually hid his power to trick him!

The air of the emperor changed. He looked dignified, proud, and respectful. Even the level-2000 generals gazed at their emperor in elation.

“First question… Well, not really a first question since I already asked you about other things. What are you planning to do with that galleon-class ship that you commissioned the merchant guild?”

Xiaomao was relieved that the real question was not related to Pangu or Taotie. He replied with the prepared answer.

“Large ships are good for storing fishes and mass-fishing, munya! Me, want fishes, munya!”

The ministers and the soldiers snickered as they found Xiaomao’s answer absurd and ridiculous.

“Why don’t you buy a fishing boat, then?”

“This is why cats are stupid. He overinvested.”

“I call it bull crap. He must be up to something.”

“Nah. Check his retainer. One of them is a fisherman in disguise,” one of the ministers sneered at Shepherd.

“You’re right. Wow, I didn’t notice it. That cat might really want fish.”

“Hey, guys. Didn’t our men report that they came with a frigate? If they already have a freaking battleship, why does he commission another large ship?”

“What’s the spec of the ship again?”

The ministers murmured as they exchanged their information and thoughts out loud. The emperor and Xiaomao also overheard them, and each person’s expression was different.

Xiaomao’s smiling face turned into a bad pokerface meme. As for Yuan Shaoqing’s expression, his grin got wider.

‘Crap.’

The cat blamed himself for not being thorough.

“Ain’t that right? Now, stupid cat. You already have a frigate. Why do you need an extra vessel, a hybrid battleship-cargo one at that?”

Xiaomao came up with another excuse, “Deep Sea is plagued with sea monsters, munya. Have you ever seen one? When we were heading here, we ran into a Rhino Shark that rammed our ship. Fortunately, we killed it and survived. Without proper equipment for self-protection, we would have been a sitting duck in the middle of the sea, munya. Going deep in the open sea without guns is a suicide, munya!”

“Calm down, kitty. I don’t blame you,” the emperor snickered and turned to his retainers, “You heard him.”

The ministers stopped chatting and lower their heads in embarrassment.

But Yuan Shaoqing still didn’t believe in Xiaomao, “Do you have proof?”

“Proof, munya?”

“That you ran into a Rhino Shark whatsoever.”

Yuan Shaoqing sneered. If Xiaomao lied, he wouldn’t be able to provide concrete evidence in his claim, and the emperor could get a legitimate reason to find fault with the cat.

However, Xiaomao’s expression brightened as he brought out his trophy. He pulled out the giant head bone of the Rhino Shark, which he had prepared in advance.

“Is this enough, munya?”

“…”

Yuan Shaoqing closed his mouth and stared at the giant shark’s skull in astonishment. He turned to Tian Feng, “Do you know how strong this monster is?”

Tian Feng dryly laughed, “That’s probably a baby shark. The adult one’s level is about 3,000, but this skull is quite small. I think it’s a level-150 or something similar.

“Hmm.”

Not all ministers in the throne room had a high level. Some of them were under level 100, which was not up to the military standard. However, all soldiers and generals here snorted at the skull when they heard that the monster level is only 150.

Yuan Shaoqing turned to Xiaomao. He gently put the cat on his lap and petted his head.

“Second question, where did you get your frigate?”

Xiaomao answered without fear, “We ran into a group of pirates, and we stole their ship, munya!”

HAHAHAHAH!

Tian Feng and the crowd burst into laughter. Even Yuan Shaoqing smiled.

“The pirates must be stupid, I see.”

“Very stupid, munya!”

Yuan Shaoqing glanced at Lucky and Shepherd. He also checked their levels.

“Your crew is quite strong. Do you want to join my army? I can pardon you for what you did to the Pangu Church.”

“Eh?”

The laughter ceased. Xiaomao frowned as he found something odd in the emperor’s tone.

Then, Xiaomao remembered something.

Where was Bush Cox, the agent that Yuan Shaoqing had sent?

As soon as Xiaomao thought about Bush, the gate of the throne room was opened, and a blue-dressed witch entered the hall.

TOK

TOK

Her high heels caused a loud noise whenever she walked. Even though there was a thick carpet underneath, her footsteps were firm and heavy.

The ministers and generals suddenly knelt and lowered their heads to the newcomer.

The witch ignored the people in the throne room. She beelined toward Shepherd as if she sensed something from him.

The witch princess, Yuan Hua, gripped Shepherd’s shoulder. She pulled him, “YOU THERE! I REMEMBER YOU!”

Shepherd, Lucky, and Xiaomao turned around to look at Yuan Hua. Both Lucky and Xiaomao were confused, but Shepherd sweated profusely as if he had done something wrong.

Suddenly, Yuan Hua grabbed Shepherd’s arm and dragged him closer to the emperor.

“Brother, you always sent me random rich douchebags to be my fiancé, and I told you that I didn’t want any, right?”

Yuan Shaoqing nodded, “Yes. You killed two of them and castrated 17. I got into trouble because of you. Had it not been Mimir’s help, their parents would have revolted.”

Yuan Hua smirked. Then, she pulled Shepherd closer to her.

“I want to marry this guy!”

Shepherd, Xiaomao, and Lucky stared at Yuan Hua in disbelief. The ministers dropped their jaws while the generals were stunned. The most surprised person was none other than Yuan Shaoqing.

“WHAT!? WHY!?”
