Green Fruit nodded. However, she instantly met with difficulty after taking the earthenware jar from Old Nick.
“Tangtang, how do I boil it?”
Before Su Tang replied, Old Nick hurriedly interrupted, “Hang on. Let me make a stand! You can boil the water after the jar is placed on the stand!”
Old Nick was delighted that Su Tang was taking him out to gather herbs, so he could not wait to leave!
Green Fruit turned to look at Su Tang after she heard what Old Nick said.
She was clearly asking if Old Nick was right.
Su Tang did not know whether to cry or to laugh as she nodded.
However, Old Nick was so infuriated by Green Fruit that he glared at her!
When they were finally ready to go, Su Tang turned to tell Yuanyuan, “You must keep wiping his body until his temperature goes down. If it gets tiring, then take turns with Green Fruit. I will find the herbs that Meng Ze needs for sure, so don’t worry!”
Yuanyuan nodded hard with a look of gratitude. “I will! Thanks!”
Su Tang waved her hand and left the cave coolly. However, she u-turned back after she got to the cave entrance.
She went up to Cain and raised her head before she stammered sheepishly, “C-can you take me down? It’s too high for me…”
Cain’s lips curved upwards into a smile. “Sure!”
He pulled Su Tang into his arms and leaped, landing firmly on the ground!
Wow! It was as thrilling as a roller coaster ride!
Su Tang was so excited that her cheeks flushed red. “Thanks, Cain!”
The tiger continued to smile happily!
“Hey! Wait up! I’m not getting any younger!” Old Nick slowly climbed down from the cave using some protruding rocks by the side.
Su Tang finally noticed the irregular rocks by the side of the cave. If she did not pay any attention, she probably would never have realized what they were there!
Su Tang could not help sighing. The beastmen were not that stupid after all!
Old Nick climbed down the rocks, energetically walked up to their side, and asked curiously, “Where are we going to get herbs?”
Su Tang looked around before she pointed at the forest in the south. “Where’s that? Can we go there?”
Cain nodded. “It’s a safe place to hunt since it doesn’t have any ferocious animals. Most of the time, the females gather fruit there!”
“Then let’s start there since it faces the sun. The herb I need grows where there is sun and tends to avoid the cold, so we might be able to find it there!”
Cain said nothing and held onto Su Tang’s hand tightly as though he was worried she would get lost.
Old Nick followed behind them happily.
A team of females was in the process of gathering in the forest. There were five females along with three males guarding them.
All of them were delighted to see Cain, Old Nick, and Su Tang!
A female raised a red fruit and said, “Chief, what brings you here? Try some of this red fruit! It’s absolutely sweet!”
Su Tang glanced at it. Was this not the fruit she just ate that looked like an apple but tasted like a pear?
So it was called red fruit!
It was certainly an apt name!
Cain neither took the fruit nor said a word. Not a shred of expression radiated from his face!
The female seemed to have already expected Cain’s reaction, so she turned to look at Old Nick.
“Old Nick, aren’t you taking care of Meng Ze? Why did you come here? Have a red fruit!”
Old Nick said, “Only females like fruit. Males prefer to eat meat! Meat gives us strength!”
