Awakened: Evolving to Godhood

Chapter 93: Elliot's obsession!

Chapter 93: Elliot's obsession!

He went down the arena, sharing a high five with each of his brothers.

“You did good, man.” Elliot praised John.

“I never thought you had it in you,” Lisa said to John while standing close to Elliot.

“Hehe,” John laughed with a cheeky smile on his face.

Theo trapped John in a harmless chokehold and said, “Don’t be too smug. You only one fight!”

“I know. I know. Now, let me go.” John said, taking Theo’s arm off his neck and shoulder.

“Heh, he has all reason to act smug,” Elliot suddenly said before motioning them to look at the raised platform. “Look, even the headmaster is looking at him in praise.”

They turned to look at the raised platform and saw that Headmaster Gerald was looking at John, a Hollow, with amazement in his eyes. He was appalled and impressed because a Hollow managed to win because of the efforts and hard work John put in to train himself. However, he still felt bitter, indigent even. “If only he wasn’t a Hollow, then he would have accomplished a lot with his computing powers.”

“Sigh~” A bitter sigh escaped his lips.

As John was a Hollow, he won’t be able to achieve a higher evolutionary stage than the peak of the magical realm. No matter how hard he trains, he won’t be able to advance into the energy channel opening stage. After all, a magician only gains energy channels after awakening a supernatural ability, something John, a Hollow, could never do in his life.

After John and Lucas fight, a few more battles took place in the arena. One of them happened to be between a second-year student and Sylas, who was in the tenth level of the magical realm. Sylas won against his opponent within a minute by using two different superpowers, Gravity Manipulation, Earth Manipulation, and his magic matrix, Prediction.

Elliot smiled while looking at Sylas, then said, “Big boss, he’s amazing no matter where he goes.”

“You know that person?” Theo asked.

“Is he a friend?” John and Lisa looked at Elliot with bright sparkly eyes, wondering how he is related to Sylas. Childhood friends? Rivals? Unwanted Romance? Participants of a Love triangle? Enemies? One-sided Love? Just what is it?

Elliot nodded to them and told Theo, Lisa, and John that Sylas used to be the strongest student of the magic high school he attended as well as someone who didn’t bully him when he was weak and instead protected him from Alexander, who wanted to kill him.

“He is a good candidate for our group,” Theo said after hearing from Elliot’s mouth that Sylas protected him when he was still the weakest.

“Should we talk to him?” John asked while looking at Elliot with eyes that asked for his permission.

“Not now,” Elliot declined, knowing full well that although Big Boss has a rough exterior and a gentle interior, he is still arrogant to the boot, so he won’t accept their invitation if they simply invited him to become a part of their group.

“Alright,” John and Theo said before getting busy with the game on their quantum card.

“He seems like a good person, though,” Lisa said, earning a glare from Elliot.

“What is wrong?” She asked in a low voice.

Elliot gently held her face in his murderous hands, then looked into her eyes with his sinful eyes and said, “You’re not allowed to think that in that way about others in my presence. Otherwise, I will punish you in the worst ways possible.”

Lisa could feel his overwhelming obsession with her life, and because she was a masochist and submissive woman with a bit of craziness to herself, she felt excitement rushing to her head. She knew

that if she pokes him here and there with her words, he will get even passionate and obsessive about her.

“You are being too obsessive, that’s not good for your health and our relation,” Lisa said with a sweet smile on her face as her finger traced along his jawline.

Elliot grabbed her hand, holding her in place, and said huskily, “Are you saying these words because you’re thinking of changing me with someone new?”

“So what? What can you do, even if I am?” Lisa said, knowing full well that her words are going to anger him.

Elliot lowered his face, placing his lips next to her ear, then jokingly said, “I will kill your lover, kidnap you, keep you in a safe place hidden from the world after breaking your legs, and seal your strength so that you would have no way of running away from my side.”

Lisa gulped, thinking that although he said those words in a not-so-serious tone while patting her head, he means it.

This love was too thrilling and too dangerous!

“Can I still back off?” Lisa said in her mind, thinking whether or not she can pull back from this relation.

“It’s already too late,” Elliot said, and she realized that she had said her thoughts out loud.

“Damn, my mouth.” Lisa acted as if she didn’t intentionally do that, as if he wasn’t supposed to hear those words.

Elliot didn’t care whether she was acting or just made an honest mistake

To clarify himself, he lifted her face up by the chin so that he can look straight into her ruby eyes and said, “Let me remind you, I gave you a chance, but you refused to leave me alone, so now you need to accompany me for a lifetime. And I won’t take no for an answer.”

“I understand, master,” Lisa said in a submissive and gentle voice. Thanks to the little and dangerous stunt she just pulled off, not only had she found out that his love for her was real but his obsession with her ran deep, too.

Elliot nodded with a happy and pleased smile before moving his face away from his little bird and looking towards the ongoing fight between two second-year students, Linda and Jane.

Sometime later, once only around eighty participants were left, instructor Leonardo announced, “Everyone that still hasn’t been disqualified from the tournament, gather upon the arena!”
