Chapter 85: Crushing Ball, Destroying Future, Say Goodbye to Art Thy Family Treasure!

Several minutes later, once the students who wanted to partake in the tournament got their tokens, the headmaster and the instructors took a seat on the raised platform near the arena, and instructor Leonardo suddenly appeared in the center of the arena, then said, “Now that you’ve gotten your token, it’s time for the tournament to begin. I will call out to you guys by saying the number on top of your tokens, and then you must appear on stage within three minutes. Otherwise, you will automatically lose the match.”

“With that said, may participant 77 and participant 99 please come on stage!”

“77?! That’s my token number.” Elliot’s eyes blinked as he felt a bit surprised to be the first one to battle.

“Gogo! Master, I’m cheering for you!” Lisa said with a sweet smile on her face.

“Good luck, bro!” John said, giving him a thumbs up.

“Don’t you dare lose the fight!” Theo said while looking at him with eyes as serene as a waveless ocean that reflects the Moon and the starry night skies.

“I will be back soon.” After saying those words, Elliot calmly walked up the stairways and stood on one side of the arena, waiting for his opponent to come up on stage.

“He disrespected me earlier, so do whatever you can to make him suffer!” Linda said to the one carrying the token with the number 99 on it.

Rosa kneeled before her, one hand on his heart, the other on his back, then said, “As you wish, my lady.”

“Happy up and go!” Linda said, urging him to go and face Elliot.

Rosa stood up and walked up the stairs to stand face to face with Elliot.

Since both the participants were now on stage, instructor Leonardo hurriedly explained them the rules. “

Since both of the participants were now on stage, instructor Leonardo decided that it is time to explain the rules of the fight to them. “You win if your opponent is unable to continue, steps out of the boundary of the arena, or gives up by saying I admit defeat! Is that understood?”

“Yes, sir!!” Elliot and Rosa said at the same time, looking at the instructor with eagerness in their eyes that told Leonardo to announce the beginning of the match.

“The match will begin after the three seconds countdown!” Leonardo said, then counted to three, signifying the start of the battle.

“You’re honestly unlucky. You only awakened a month ago, and at that time, you were in the early levels of the magical realm. How far could you have grown in the past month? You might be in the middle levels of the magical realm, but no stronger than that. Fighting a second-year like me, who is in the early levels of the channel opening realm, doesn’t it spells doom in your ears?”

Rosa said those words to scare Elliot into submission, but what he saw left him shocked.

“Were you saying something?” Elliot said after cleaning both his ears with his pinky.

“You sure are gusty! Let me see if you have the strength to back up your arrogance and disrespectful attitude!” Rosa said as the supernatural cells in his bloodstream sucked the magic energy in his body to manifest his ability in the real world.

Suddenly, countless snowflakes as sharp as a knife appeared around him, chilling the surrounding.

He flicked his finger, and then the countless snowflakes swiftly moved towards Elliot, glistening brightly under the sunlight.

Elliot calmly looked at the approaching snowflakes for a brief moment, and then he waved his hand, releasing a golden glow that destroyed all the snowflakes in the blink of an eye.

Rosa, Linda, Headmaster Gerald, instructor Leonardo, and the rest of the onlookers speechlessly looked at Elliot, surprised out of their wits by what just happened. How did he destroy all the snowflakes in the blink of an eye?! What the heck just happened? How the hell did a magician in the magical realm perform such a feat?

“All Hail Elliot!”

“Kick his ass!”

“Show the second year that the Academy doesn’t belong to them!”

“Bro, I am cheering for you!”

Suddenly, the onlookers erupted in a commotion, cheering for Elliot.

“How did you do that?! How could you destroy my ability with a casual wave of your hand?!!” Rosa asked, finding it hard to believe that a magician in an entire evolutionary stage below him has casually shattered his attack.

“Because you’re far weaker than me, and I can crush you as easily as stomping an ant to death,” Elliot said while looking down at him.

“Don’t act smug in front of me!” Rosa shouted at the top of his lings, feeling humiliated by his words.

“Is barking all you know?” Elliot said while yawning.

As soon as Elliot said those words while yawning and acting as if he is bored, Rosa’s cheeks turned red, and three veins popped up in his head.

He then let his supernatural cells devour two-third of the magic energy in his body. In the very next moment, a large chunk of ice manifested above Elliot’s head.

“Crush his bones, Ice Boulder!” Rosa said as he raised his hand above his head for a brief moment and lowered it down, causing the ice boulder to descend on top of Elliot.

Whoosh!

Elliot raised his head, feeling bored to see the ice descending on top of his head pretty slowly. He raised his hand above his head, and hundreds of thin tendrils made out of golden energy surged out of his finger, crisscrossing around each other, taking the shape of a spider web.

Bam!

The ice boulder crashed on top of the web made out of golden threads but wasn’t able to breach through it, and got stuck in it.

The eyes of the onlookers opened so wide in disbelief that they threatened to pop out of their sockets, and their mouths gaped open, unable to comprehend the absurdity of this situation.

“Impossible! You’re using an artifact! I am sure of it!! Otherwise, how could a mere magician in the magical realm stop my attacks two times in a row?!!” Rosa said, trying to diffuse reality.

“Have anyone ever told you that you bark a lot?” Elliot said as he snapped his fingers.

An instant after he snapped his fingers, and then the spider webs jerked the ice boulder on top of it towards Rosa at a very high speed.

WHOOSH

BAM

The ice boulder moved so fast that Rosa wasn’t able to get out of its way in time, and it crashed on top of his body, pushing him out of the arena and also crushing many bodies in his body.

“Ouch! My arms, mommy! Ouch, my legs, daddy! Ouch, my family treasure, ancestors! Boohoo!”

Rosa started crying at the top of his lungs as the boulder that crashed on him has shattered the bones of his five limbs, and it only led to the others laughing at him at the top of their lungs and Linda getting embarrassed for his sake.

“How does it feel like to have a taste of your own medicine. Not great, I believe.” Elliot said while smiling slightly before he eagerly looked towards instructor Leonardo.

“The winner of this match is Elliot!” Instructor Leonardo announced the name of the winner of this match, signifying that it has come to an end with Elliot as the winner.

Elliot stepped out of the arena under the cheers of the students and swagged his way back to his friends.

“Healers, hurry up and patch this student up.” Instructor Leonardo motioned the healers to come and heal Rosa and restore his destroyed future.
