Chapter 56: Challenger Key?!

The undead slaves have a life core in their bodies. If it breaks or gets taken out of their bodies, they die. If their life orbs get damaged, their strength decreases.

The life core was their only weakness!

“Recall,” Elliot uttered the keyword to store them into the Unread King’s requiem.

The seven undead shades vanished from the room in a puff of black smoke.

He then unlocked the door, yawned, and moved towards the bed, planning to take a nap. He was too tired and wanted to reward himself with a good night of rest. He will do everything else later.

Though the moment he fell asleep, a few notifications rang in his mind, startling him awake!

Elliot sat up and read the notifications that has popped up in his mind.

“I can finally complete the Champion Key and step inside the God’s Tower. Sweet!”

Elliot chose to complete the challenger key right away.

He took out the three pieces of the challenger key from his subspaces.

He placed them close to each other. He then saw threads stretching out of the pieces and intertwining with each other, pulling each towards one another. The distance between them closed for good, and Elliot saw a key shining in golden radiance placed on the bed.

He looked at it with the intent to know everything about it.

“Monster Craven? Tell me more about it,” Elliot said in his mind, asking for more information about the trial from Hope.

<Monster Craven is a place where a lot of monsters in the third level to the tenth level of the magical realm live. Two monsters in the early stage (Level 1 to Level 3) of the demonic realm rule it. The minimum strength required to challenge this stage is the third level of the channel opening evolutionary stage>

“I’m still a bit far away from that goal.” Elliot decided to challenge it after advancing to the channel opening stage.

“One month, huh. I think it is more than enough.”

Elliot believed in himself and knew that he will be able to advance to the Channel Opening Stage within a month.

The next day, he met up with instructor Nina Olsen in the park.

“Hello, dear instructor. I have a question to ask. Can I?” Elliot asked as he looked at her beautiful face. It made him feel good to look at her, and he believes that she doesn’t mind his gaze.

Nina looked back at him in a daze, feeling that he has grown more handsome and cute. It was as if he was no longer her childhood friend, but a man, a handsome and attractive one at that.

“Hello, instructor! Are you alright?” Elliot said a bit loudly, snapping her out of her daze.

“Ah, yes,” Nina said with a wry smile as redness tainted her snow-white cheeks.

She told him to go on and ask her the question that has been bothering him for an entire night.

“When will you teach us magic techniques?” Elliot

“Oh, you must have heard about it from the second-year students. You will have to wait for a few days to learn one. Because I will start teaching magic techniques next Monday,” Nina said while ruffling his hair. She couldn’t help it. His hair seemed too soft and she wanted to make a mess out of it.

Elliot enjoyed the feel of her soft hand without any complaints in his heart. “One last question. When are you going to teach us how to control our energy?”

“I will teach that on Monday,” Nina replied with an amiable smile while playing with his hair with her naughty hand.

“Okay, thanks.” Elliot said, “Umm, can you stop ruffling my hair?”

“Sorry, my bad.” Instructor Nina smiled warily and took her hand away from his head.

After that, nothing sort of impressive happened.

The instructors didn’t teach them anything and only told them to self-study. They weren’t to be blamed for this. After all, more than half the class was missing. The students had gone out of the academy to complete the mission. Unlike Elliot and his party, they needed days to complete it. So, they will only return in a few to several days. That’s when the instructor will start seriously teaching them.

What a bad joke!

Elliot didn’t like that, but he wasn’t one to complain like a bitch. He shook his head, focusing more on what he should do today. His eyes brightened as he thought of earning free essence of life and magic coins from the magic coliseum. He went to that place after classes. Lisa stuck close to him, following him everywhere like a dog.

He didn’t mind her company. Rather, he enjoyed it.

She was willing to do everything for him, even bark like a dog, and that made him like her even more, after all.

John and Theo didn’t accompany him this time, making him feel like he was on some kind of date with Lisa.

John had gone to the training center to learn how to aim and hit a target with a bullet. Theo had gone to spend some quality time with his new girlfriend.

After arriving at their destination and entering the virtual world, Elliot spectated dozens of matches and also placed his bet on several gladiators.

He won each of them, leaving Lisa to silently marvel at his awesomeness. She also noticed that he smiles every time he wins magic coins. Doesn’t that mean he loves making magic coins? Won’t she win his heart by introducing him to some popular ways of making magic coins?

A deep pondering look appeared on her face as she thought about the best ways for someone like him to earn magic coins. It didn’t take long for her eyes to glimmer excitedly.

Elliot, on the other hand, won one bet after another and ended up racking in another 5000 magic coins. Now, he had 20000 magic coins.

Once they left the magic coliseum, Elliot bought an ice cream for himself and Lisa. Lisa happily accepted it and unwrapped it. She stored the wrappers in her spatial bracelet and ate the rest of it seductive, all the while eyeing Elliot. He wasn’t able to avert his eyes from her lips either. He was entranced by the way she was licking and biting the ice cream.

He wondered how good it would feel if it was little Elli in place of that ice cream!

Wouldn’t little Eli melt under the warmness of her mouth, bursting sour cream down her throat?!
