Almighty Summoner System

Nothing happened in particular on their way out of the cave.

It was only when Ban stepped out of the cave that a System Mission was suddenly issued.

Description: A completely unobvious injury was located at your spine. The Host is required to cure or heal this as soon as possible.

Requirements: Search for these ingredients and brew a medicine concoction for your own well-being.

1x complete spine from a Hairy Boar!

3x Boney Porcupine's White Spike!

1x 2 years old Glass Ginger!

5 Cups of Pure River Water!

5x Branch of Elder Monk Tree!

Method of Concoction:...

Rewards: Heal your 2 years old spine injury, of course! And a Bonus of 1x Random [Mystery Box]

Ban tilted his head in confusion after reading the Mission Description. "I have an injury in my spine? And 2 Years ago?"

A blank expression surfaced on his face as he recalled what he had done 2 years ago for this unnoticed injury to occur.

A certain event then surfaced on his mind.

It was before his gramps got abducted by those white robes men.

During that time, he was punished by his gramps for playing a prank on him. His punishment was for him to stay at the place his gramps referred to as Green Wood Forest.

It was a forest full of normal animals that Ban could easily handle due to his training.

Of course, as per instructed, Ban mostly only stayed at the periphery of the forest. However, during that last punishment, he wanted to get even with his gramps by bringing him a Red Blood Ginseng as a present.

He doesn't know what the Red Blood Ginseng is for but he knew that his gramps like it a lot.

And so, when he spotted a Red Blood Ginseng in the forest, he could not help but harvest it carefully. However, he got carried away and he did not notice at that time that he was already near the center of the forest.

When he realized it, Ban hurriedly ran back to the periphery in fright. And at that time, during the night, he chooses a tall tree to sleep in.

Unfortunately, he fell from the tree while sleeping during that time and it was then that he experienced excruciating pain in his spine.

However, it immediately subsided so he ignored it. Even until now, he could still not feel any pain from the supposed injury on his spine.

If it was not the System that stated it, he would surely not believe it.

Ban could only sigh as he gazed at the ingredients he needed to collect before he could cure his hidden injury.

Aside from the Glass Ginger and Elder Monk Tree, he does not recognize any of the ingredients he needs to collect.

While the Book of Technique might have the information and their description, the Book of Technique doesn't have a record of whether there was any of that ingredient available around him.

And when he inquired the System about the arrow that could point towards the Demon Ant Cave during his first Mission, the System actually responded with a cold remark.

[The Host is training to become the Almighty Summoner, not the Almighty Follower!

The System urges the Host to find the solution on his own.]

Ban was taken aback by its reply but he could not deny it. He should not be fully dependent on the Almighty Summoner System and he should also be thinking for his own.

He released a deep breath as he adjusted his current mindset.

"The System is not my servant and it could only reward me from the Missions I have completed and also list my current strength in detail."

After doing that, Ban now has a clear understanding of what he should expect from the System.

Before fully stepping out of the cave, Ban removed his Ant Mask first and stored it in the Dimensional Storage.

He also retrieved the 77 Red Cave Rocks he collected before placing them together on a huge leaf that he saw in the corner. The Red Cave Rocks only have a maximum size of an adult fist and some of them are even smaller than the rest. The fit right exactly to the size of the leaf he obtained.

He then let Eva transform to her normal form as he was afraid of being seen with a different 'Monster' than his usual Demon Ant.

After doing all of that, Ban and Eva finally made their way towards the road leading back to the city.

At this time, he was also hoping that he could hitch another ride from one of the carriage drivers he knew. Although he was not tired due to absorbing the Red Hermit Termite with the passive effect of Greed, he was also a little lazy going back to the city with foot.

Eva jumped and laid on his shoulder as Ban ran towards the road.

He wanted to get back as soon as possible so that he could obtain the ingredients for the medicine he needs to brew for his spine injury.

The branch of the Elder Monk Tree was the least of his worries as he recalled that Kuys have some of them on the Kuys Bar Storage.

He also heard one of the Adventurers talking about the Glass Ginger while they were drinking beers and was chatting about girls.

He does not understand what they were talking about that time but the word Glass Ginger was fully etched on his mind as because of the word Ginger, he suddenly recalled his gramps who quite loved the taste of the Red Blood Ginger they boiled before.

Ban also tried to taste it once but he could not handle its spiciness and he was even laughed at by his gramps during that time, saying that it was punishment for trying to drink his Red Blood Ginger without his permission.

He released a heavy sigh as he erased those scenes from his mind. And after a few minutes of running, he finally saw the road leading to Eagle City.

And as if his prayers were heard, he suddenly saw a carriage from the distance that is going towards the direction of Eagle City.

Ban hurriedly ran to chase it so that he could hitch a ride.
