Ban was actually planning to ignore the kill confirmation notification until the Unknown Egg consumes the corpse of the Drainer Fox. 

Fortunately, he changed his mind and decided to check it when he felt a little annoyed seeing the pulsing '!' icon.

Ban already knew that the Drainer Fox was only an F-Apprentice Rank Lord Grade Beast. He no longer felt that proud after learning of this and he now felt that it was only natural that he could kill it. After all, it was 'only' in F-Apprentice Rank and although Beast was supposed to be stronger than humans, that rule did not apply to Ban as he has a lot of Skills, and not to mention his body that would not lose if compared to Elite Grade Beast.

What really surprised Ban was the notification about the Skill Crystal. 

A Skill Crystal can be said to be more rare than Beast Core themselves. It was because although Beast Cores are rare, in the end, if one could spot a Lord Grade Beast, it was already guaranteed that one would find a Beast Core after killing it. 

Skill Crystals on the other hand could not be found that easily. Even killing Lord Grade Beast doesn't guarantee a Skill Crystal to appear. 

It was said that Skill Crystals are so rare that they will only be displayed for sale during an auction or a big event like a yearly bazaar. The price of each of them was also astronomical compared to the Beast Cores prices. 

The value of the lowest grade Skill Crystal was around 100000 Gold Coins. Of course, that's what Ban heard and the rumors might be wrong. After all, just how many people in Eagle City have seen one being displayed to the public?

If anyone somehow managed to find a Skill Crystal on the Beast they killed, then one could say that they have lucked out. 

That was also the reason why he was also taken aback after seeing the half-skill crystal made by Kuys Summon. If Kuys could capitalize on that Skill, the wealth gained would also be astronomical. His greedy heart wanted to learn it for himself.

Of course, there might be certain limitations about that Skill, unfortunately, when Ban asked the System how to obtain that Skill or if it could be obtained by training... it only replied with a bunch of question marks. Meaning, his Rank was not high enough to view such information yet. 

Ban could only sigh and calm his excited heart back then. Fortunately, he was able to hold it in and calmly comprehended the Half-Skill Crystal.

It was also said that the reason for the Skill Crystals high value was due to the fact that anyone can use them. 

Beast Cores, although rare and expensive as well, can only be used by Beasts or those Summoners who have a Core Manual to aid them. It was also the reason why many would not risk to kill Lord Grade Beast who was guaranteed to have Beast Core. After all, why risk their life when they could not use the Beast Cores  themselves? 

Only those wealthy enough, and those who have a Core Manual would set up some expedition to kill a Lord Grade Beast for their Beast Core.

The Skill Crystals on the other can be used by anyone, even by Summons. Learning the Skill contained inside the Crystal would only depend on one's comprehension ability. The higher the comprehension ability, or in other words, talent of the person or the Monster that wanted to learn the Skill, the faster they will be able to learn or grasp it for themselves. 

Ban's thoughts wandered as his hands slowly set aside the Unknown Egg before grasping the dagger tightly. He was already thinking about what he should do with the Skill Crystal. Should he learn it for himself? Give it to one of his contracted Beasts? Or sell it? 

With fluid movements that seemed to come from an expert, Ban's hand moved dexterously as he cut open the fox's head easily. Although disgusted a little, Ban persevered as the Skill Crystals are always located at the center of the brain of the Beast. 

After making a big enough hole, he slid his fingers within to feel the Skill Crystal present inside. He was surprised about the uneven yet soft texture and the warm feeling that enveloped his finger as he slid it slowly.

He shook his head and thought that it might be the fox's brain that he just felt. 

The head of the fox was bigger than Ban's head himself. It took him some time before his finger managed to reach the center after some slight obstructions. 

The moment his finger reached the very center of the fox's brain, he immediately felt something hard blocking his finger. 

It was hard to the touch so Ban guessed that it might be the fox's Skill Crystal. 

Not wasting any more time, he hooked his finger around it as he slowly pulled out. 

Slimy and creamy-like liquid oozes out of the hole as he slowly pulls his finger out. It made Ban feel disgusted but he gritted his teeth as he was determined to get the Skill Crystal out.

A few breaths later, Ban finally managed to take out the Skill Crystal along with a little pop. 

The Skill Crystal was still coated with blood so Ban took some cloth to wipe it clean. After wiping, Ban placed it on his hand to observe it. 

It was an orange-colored crystal the size of a thumb. There was a fox-like creature present inside the Crystal, further confirming that it was truly the Drainer Fox's Skill Crystal. 

It has a smooth surface and compared to the Half-Skill Crystal created by Kuys Summon, this one was definitely bigger and the creature inside the Crystal was more life-like. 

Excited on what kind of Skill it was, Ban immediately summoned the Almighty Summoner System to scan what kind of Skill contained inside.
