A fox Beast that lives on near-wetlands or not far away from water. A dangerous Beast that would not hesitate to attack humans on sight. Drainer Foxes are called as such due to their unique racial trait that allows them to drain their opponents' stamina amidst fighting with a skill.

Drainer Fox's colors are mostly orange. 

Beware if there's a yellowish color on the fox's underbelly as it is mostly pregnant, and a male Lord Grade F-Apprentice Rank to E-Elite Rank are mostly present in the area.

The information regarding the fox Beast resurfaced inside Ban's mind as he approached his target. 

The Beast was still busy digging below the tree and it was still unaware of Ban's presence a few meters away. Ban especially stored his Ant Mask and the Moth Cloak in order to not let the Beast feel anything as he approached it for a sneak attack. 

As he neared the Beast, Ban wanted to scan it again to determine its rank, unfortunately, due to the Beast not being his, he would not be able to see its detailed explanation-including its current rank- unless he managed to touch it for a few minutes. 

He also observed its underbelly carefully, making sure that it doesn't have any yellowish sign on it.

The Poisonous Butterfly Dagger was held on his right hand firmly as he approached the fox, he was now only around 10 meters behind from it.

The whole situation will change depending on what kind of outcome his sneak attack would lead to. If it succeeds, then he will have an easier time killing the Beast afterwards given it didn't die from the sneak attack itself, or if he failed, he will need to endure some hardships for a little while fighting with the fox. 

Five meters away, Ban noticed that the Drainer Tail was now moving side to side rapidly, as if in excitement. Ban was forced to stop as he thought that the fox might have discovered him. 

However, he was relieved at the next moment as the moment the fox raised its mouth, there was actually a black-colored bug present, struggling for its meager life.

Ban recovered immediately after his initial shock. The Drainer Fox has already hunted its food and it will now try to go home. The perfect opportunity for an attack was just around in front of Ban, if he did not grasp this opportunity, then he could only regret it. 

He was still five meters away from the fox but distance like this was no longer a problem ever since he obtained the Snake Rush Skill.

The downside to this Skill was that it would make the user travel in a zigzag manner akin to slithering snake. 

Ban's figure blurred for a moment before he reappeared at the rear of the fox. The Beast was still oblivious to its situation at this point as its attention was still drawn towards the black-colored bug which it just caught.

Ban smiled joyfully as he immediately stabbed the dagger towards the fox. 

At this point, the fox felt the sudden danger behind its back. It hopped towards its front, hoping to dodge the incoming danger it felt from behind its attacks. 

Alas, it was already too late for it. Even though it managed to hop in time, the dagger still managed to cut a huge gaping wound at the base of its tail all the way down towards its knee. 

It was because it didn't manage to hop away that much due to the tree that was blocking it.

The Drainer Fox turned around to see who it was that dared to sneak attack it. However, the effects of the dagger took effect at the same instance.

Extreme pain coursed through its body as a burning sensation assaulted its mind. It even started to see hallucinations. 

All of them came from the same source, the wound on its hind leg. 

However, worthy of its status as a Lord Grade Beast, the Drainer Fox was actually able to resist the hallucinations a little bit. It's suffering now mostly came from the pain and the burning hot sensation around its buttocks. 

All of this happened in an instant. 

Ban had just stabilized himself from using the Snake Rush when he noticed the rage and the pained expression present on the Drainer Fox. 

It was only for a brief moment but Ban actually felt danger seeing it glaring its eyes towards him.

And while the fox was still suffering from the wounds, Ban used this opportunity to wear the Ant Mask and the Noble Moth Cloak again. The moment he did so, he felt more secure than ever as he became bolder. 

The Drainer Fox doesn't have any intention to attack as it was still dealing with the pain at this moment. Heck how could it think of an attack when the pain on its butt was still present? 

Nevertheless, the fox utilized the little time given as it uses one of its Skill.

Self Heal! 

It was a Skill that heals its injury no matter how severe. Unfortunately, when it used the Skill, it only alleviated the pain, but did not heal the wound itself.

This was the first time that the fox encountered this so it was extremely wary towards the attacker, or more precisely towards the dagger that injured it to this extent. 

As a Lord Grade Beast, the fox really does have some intellect compared to normal and elite Beasts. If it were the latter, it might risk its life at this moment and attack the sneaky fellow at all cost. 

However, the Lord Grade Beast was different. It was able to survive on this Beast-filled area full of strong Beasts, it was only natural that it grew some cautiousness.

It was weighing the pros and cons at this moment whether to attack or to escape as it frantically tried to use the Self Heal over and over again even though the cooldown was not up yet. 

Alas, the Lord Grade Beast Drainer Fox won't be able to think of its situation calmly as Ban, who became bolder due to the terrifying defense provided by the cloth and mask, has already arrived in front of it. 

Seeing that, the Lord Grade Beast Drainer Fox released a series of howls and barks as if to warn the fellow not to be too confident in himself. 

Unfortunately for the fox, Ban was not able to understand its warning. Even if he did, will he stop?

Of course not. He was very confident that he would kill the Drainer Fox this time. Coupled with the mask, the cloak, and the fox's wound, his confidence rose even more heights as he became bolder. 

He stepped forward and immediately brought the dagger down, targeting the head of the fox. 

Startled, the fox no longer thought about anything as it tried to flee. The situation was not favorable for it so it could only try to run. 

Side Step!

Using the Skill that allowed it to escape a known danger by stepping to the side, the Drainer Fox was able to dodge Ban's normal yet threatening attack. 

Ban was not startled as he already saw this coming. Instead, he also sidestepped towards the fox's direction and immediately followed up with another strike. 

This time he was successful and managed to wound the fox for the second time. 

And at this moment, as if it became enraged due to his constant pestering, the fox no longer thought of escaping as it glared at Ban before pouncing with extreme speed towards him with the intention to kill. 

However, Ban only smiled as he used the Noble Moth Cloak to block its assault at the last moment. 

At the same time, using his free hand, he activated the Skill, Fist Penetration and punched towards the fox with great force. 

A deafening sound echoed as the fox was hit right on the head.

If not for the fact that it was already a Lord Grade Beast and already had such a strong body, Ban thought it's skull might have already cracked from that strike alone. 

Nevertheless, he was still elated as he noticed that the Beast had actually entered a groggy state. Its eyes spun around as if it was attempting to hide its iris and replaced it with just full white. 

Blood dripped on its mouth maybe due to the concussion or some of its meat might have ruptured from the Fist Penetration Strike.

It looks like he can avoid using the Enraged Crocodile Roar from this battle. 

 Ban did not waste the opportunity and let the dagger decide the outcome. 

As a Quasi D-Master Rank Item, the dagger was able to effortlessly slice the neck of the fox without much of an obstruction. 

Blood splattered around and but the fox could not whimper at this moment as its mind was still spinning around in circles. In fact, it did not manage to exit that state before total darkness enveloped its surroundings. 

Ban smiled as he stared at his successful hunt. 

He could confidently say that he managed to kill a Lord Grade Beast alone without needing the help of his Beasts.

The sneak attack was really the deciding factor of that hunt. If the sneak attack failed, the fox might become more aggressive and attack him immediately. 

It also helped that the fox did not use some of its skills and the fact that he finished the battle swiftly. After all, Drainer Fox still has Skills on its arsenal that focuses on healing or restoring their lost stamina and etcetera.

It was the most annoying part of the Beasts, hence the reason why no Summoner wanted to risk their life fighting this Beast unless necessary.

He felt proud of himself and a smug smile could not help but surface on his face at this moment thinking of the battle earlier.

Nevertheless, he calmed down a moment later as he used the dagger to extract the Beast Core from the Drainer Fox's dead body.

With skillful maneuver that came from the 'experience' provided by the System and the Book of Techniques, Ban was able to extract the Beast Core of the Lord Grade Beast almost instantly. 

It was an orange-colored Beast Core with a size twice the size of his fist. 

Ban stored this Lord Grade F-Apprentice Rank Beast Core inside his Dimensional Storage Earring, before he summoned the greedy fellow out. 

The Unknown Egg appeared on his hands and right before he placed it above the dead body of the Drainer Fox, he took a glance at the notification that he purposely ignored earlier. 

It was the notification of the Drainer Fox's kill confirmation. 

He did not bother to check it earlier as he was already sure that there would be a Beast Core inside. 

This time, he decided to check it just to clear that pulsing '!' icon. 

And the moment he did so, a surprise was actually waiting for him on that same kill confirmation notification.
