"What did you just say? The Queen's Chamber? Now I am almost certain that you are trying to get me killed…"

Although he expected that he was now at the core area of the Demon Ants Lair, he didn't consider even for a second that he would be able to reach the Demon Ant Queen's Chamber just like that.

According to what he heard from the adventurers, the Demon Ant Queen Chamber was supposed to be a secret location. And even if one managed to luckily find it, they should not even think for a second about entering the chamber with less than ten people as it would be straight-up suicide.

Not to mention the queen, even the Queen Guards was already extremely strong.

Ban gulped a mouthful of saliva as he was considering again if he should return before it was too late.

However, right at that moment, the transparent row of text suddenly turned vibrant allowing him to see the threatening countdown of the mission as well as the 'threat' of gaining immediate death the moment he ever turned back.

Though reluctant, Ban still forced himself to search for the button leading to the Demon Ants Queen Chamber.

The countdown before the mission had long gone past half an hour and Ban was already starting to sweat buckets.

Just as the countdown reached the 19:59 mark, Ban somehow got lucky as he managed to push a certain spot on the wall.

Clang! Clang!

Churning sounds reached Ban's ear as he witnessed a part of the wall slowly sliding off somewhere.

After a full minute, a huge door appeared in front of him.

Phew!

Wiping the trepidation rolling down his neck, Ban didn't waste any more time as he nervously stepped inside the Demon Ant Queen's Chamber.

At the same time, the row of text appeared again with a different content this time.

[Step 4: Kill the Demon Ant Queen and take the unhatched Demon Ant Egg! ]

"What the hell are you talking about? I am not even at the Mortal Rank yet and you expect me to kill a Demon Ant Queen that is said to be two levels higher? Come on, stop this nonsense already." Ban complained in a hushed voice, afraid of alerting the 'Demon Ant Queen and its Queen Guards'.

"Jeez! Alright! Alright!"

Ban glanced around and spotted a huge rock at the side of the sliding door.

Before coming to the periphery of this Beast-filled forest, Ban didn't bring anything as he straightly went here after knowing that he couldn't summon a single monster. Now that he was able to think of it, he couldn't help but shake his head in self-disappointment.

His aim upon coming here was to train his body and become a warrior, just like those untalented summoners who only managed to summon the weakest of monsters.

He took the rock and held it firmly in his hand.

The Demon Ant Queen Chamber only has one path available on it. Ban guessed that it would probably directly lead him straight to the Queen and its Guard.

The Demon Ant Queen Chamber was spacious. Pillars of rock could be seen everywhere supporting the high-rise ceiling.

After a minute, Ban suddenly heard a squirming noise ahead of him.

Using the stone pillars around him, Ban stealthily approaches the noise.

'That's the Demon Ant Queen? Strange, where are the Queen Guards?' He observed left and right and noticed that aside from a huge Demon Ant the size of a person and some broken Demon Ant Eggs around it, the place was devoid of any other things.

'Eh? That Demon Ant is dying?' Ban exclaimed as he noticed the weak Demon Ant sprawling white bubbles on the withered-grass-filled ground.

He approached the dying Demon Ant slowly and just as what he had guessed, it was really dying. The Demon Ant only stared at him weakly without moving a single hair on its body.

"This… This is the Queen?" Surprise and bewilderment were all over Ban's brain as he stared at the 'crown' located on the Demon Ant's head.

The crown was a symbol of status for the Demon Ants. If a crown was present, it just means that the said Demon Ant was the Demon Ant Queen.

Ban couldn't believe that a Demon Ant Queen was dying in front of him.

Not to mention…

'Was it a coincidence or you already know from the start?'

"Jeez! Then why didn't you tell me so earlier?"

Ban didn't think about it anymore as he raised the rock he was holding up in the air.

Of all the things he owned, Ban was very confident about his strength. Even before he arrived at the city, his physique was already trained to the core by his 'gramps'.

He was more muscular and robust compared to boys of the same age as him. As a world filled with monsters and beasts, having great physical ability was not something to be proud of.

Summoned Monsters and Wild Beasts will be able to tear you apart no matter how strong your body is. At least, that's what Ban knew from the adventurers' talk.

After a couple of smashes, the rock he was holding broke into pieces after being in contact with the Demon Ants Queen's hard carapace.

However, Ban was already grateful to the rock's service as it had already served its purpose.

He felt it was surreal. A normal human like him was able to slay a Demon Ants Queen that is two levels higher.

Although it was already dying from the start, he should be able to brag about it for the rest of his life. If someone would believe, no one knows.

And as for feeling guilty about killing the defenseless Demon Ant Queen? Ban never felt it.

This kind of beast was labeled as a Demon for a reason.

The moment they see a person or any entity that was not part of their lair, the Demon Ants would directly storm and devour that entity in seconds without any kind of warning.
