It was already too late when Ban's hysterical shout reached Eva.

The Night Worm's body suddenly shrunk like there's no tomorrow before it erupted, spraying violet mucus from all over its body.

A desperate skill used by Night Worms when they feel danger befalling upon them. It was a skill that allowed them to erupt the mucus stored inside their body in all directions like a volcano. However, it has a severe drawback as after using this [Skill], the Night Worms would not be able to use [Skills] that uses the Mucus for a full day.

And for the Night Worms that heavily relied on their corrosive and poisonous Mucus, using such a skill was a sure way to hell.

The Night Worm's mucus sprayed like a fountain on its surroundings, and Eva who was near the Night Worm's body will be caught up in it.

However, just as the Mucus reached the frightened Eva, a suction force suddenly pulled her tiny body away.

Although his appearance has changed, Ban was still thinking calmly inside him, albeit a little angry about Eva nearly losing her life.

The Night Worm shivered in fright as it felt the presence of a new danger that appeared just as it thought that it had already eliminated the first one.

It wanted to move and run but because of the usage [Skill] Mucus Discharge, would not allow it.

The Night Worms body was full of mucus, it contains most of the composition of its body. The Mucus was what allowed them to move by manipulating it around their body using their inherent or passive [Skill], Mucus Control.

And now that all of the Mucus on its body was discharged, it can no longer move for a whole day.

At this point, the Night Worm was already considered to be dead if spotted by any predator or adventurers that knew of its nature.

Swoosh!

Even though the Night Worm was no longer in the right state to move its body, Ban still did not dare to linger as he dashed towards it with an extreme speed to deliver a finishing blow.

Arriving right in front of its dropped 'head', Ban raised his fist up in the air before dropping it like a hammer.

Boom!

The head of the Night Worm shrunk even further after taking Ban's fist.

He put all his strength into that one and his fist has now turned violet as it managed to pierce the head of the Night Worm.

Violet-colored blood that looks like the Mucus splattered around its head as Ban fist's descended once more.

And more, and more, and more!

Ban didn't stop until its head was now flattened on the ground. The face and other components of the head were now in shambles and smashed into pieces.

As if it was not enough, Ban held the Night Worm's minced head before pulling its body out of the hole it came from.

As all of its body was pulled, Ban could see that it has now shrunk in a large margin, after comparing it to the hole that it made.

However, Ban no longer concerned himself about it as he went closer towards the spot seven feet away from the Night Worm's head.

This spot of the Night Worm has a clear partition that separates the head and the body.

Ban sunk his hands and held the partition on both sides. His muscles bulged for a second before a terrifying strength was released from his hand.

He grunted and gripped the partition tightly before he yanked it with both of his in the opposite direction.

With his great strength that was multiplied by the [Skill] Enrage, the partition between the head and the body of the Night Worm's slowly separated, and before a minute had passed, only a tiny thread of sticky mucus was what held the two parts together.

Ban dropped the two parts to the ground before he knelt to the ground and started searching for something inside the Night Worm's severed head.

A while later, Ban took out a fist-size Crystal-like object that was covered by sticky violet blood.

Ban examined it and nodded his head in glee.

"There was really a Beasts Core!" He stated in surprise as he touched the smooth surface of the Beast Core present on his hand.

If not for the information he obtained from the Book of Techniques, Ban would have chosen to leave the premise already.

In the Summoner's World, not every beast could form a beast core. It was as rare as obtaining a [Skill] from them.

However, according to the Book of Techniques, beasts who were already preparing for their evolution, will have a 100℅ chance of having a Beast Core already.

It was the first requirement in order for them to evolve into their respective higher forms after all. The Beast Core will be consumed and hence will be gone after the evolution.

And with the Book of Techniques knowledge, he located where the Beast Core was located inside the Night Worm's head an instant.

Ban was about to put away the Beast Core inside his pocket when he recalled that almost all of his clothes were now tattered due to the transformation brought upon by the [Skill] Enrage!

Ban could only smile wryly as he got up from the ground to leave the area.

However, before he could do so, he was forced to stop as a sudden ache overtook his body.

At the same time, the blinking row of text produced by the System that he has ignored until now blinked even more as new words appeared on it all of a sudden.

[The [Skill] Enrage has been used!

The duration of 5 minutes was already up.
